Taking to Instagram on Friday, the duo shared a joint post revealing the happy news to their fans and followers. Sana announces second pregnancy

In the post, a young boy was seen sitting on the floor as a baby stood in front of him. The words read, “With the blessings of Allah almighty, our family of three is joyfully growing to four. Alhamdulillah! A little blessing is on the way. Saiyad Tariq Jamil is excited to be a big brother! Dear Allah, we can’t wait to welcome and cherish our newest blessing. Keep us in your duas (prayers). May allah make it easy on us.”

Sana pens long note of gratitude

The caption read, “Alhamdullilah (red heart and palms up together emojis). ‘Ya Allah, grant me from Your own (power) a goodly progeny. Verily, You are the One who listens to the prayer. Oh my Allah give us from our spouses and our children comfort of eyes and make us heads of the God- fearing’. Only Allah has the power to grant such a gift and reaffirms his responsiveness to sincere prayers.”

“Bless us with a family that is not only abundant in number but also in virtue. May Allah accept our prayers and make it easy on all of us Beautiful voice by Qari Abdul Aziz Falahi (Devla) #sanakhan #anassaiyad #saiyadtariqjamil #alhamdulillah #grateful,” concluded the note. Cricket 24 Launches Globally; New India Edition PS5 Bundle Announced


Cricket 24, dubbed ‘the most licensed cricket game ever,’ is out now on PlayStation and Xbox consoles — both current and old-gen — alongside PC via Steam. Developer Big Ant Studios had also promised a Nintendo Switch port, though it won’t be available until late November. It’s not far-fetched to assume that developer Big Ant Studios rushed to put the game out right in time for the real-life ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which also kicks off today. As a result, we have an uneven launch, with Sony PlayStation trying to capitalise on India’s love for the sport by unveiling a Cricket 24-themed PS5 bundle.

“We’ve spent years going around the world signing up nations from the majors to the minnows,” Rory Simmons, CEO, Big Ant Studios said in a developer diary. “It has a full calendar, so one minute you’re playing in the Caribbean, then you’re playing the T20 in India, and then you’re down for the big bash — up for the hundred, maybe in Ashes.” His choice of words to describe the Indian tournament is worth noting here, as it seems the team never received licensing from the annual Indian Premier League (IPL), albeit player and jersey likenesses of teams like Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are present throughout. The Ashes, the longstanding test series rivalry between England and Australia, is another major draw in Cricket 24, promising detailed cutscenes, press conferences, and training sessions — all of which immerse you in the tour.

In addition to big tournaments like the KFC BBL and Weber WBBL, the licensing also carries over to 50 official stadiums and sporting equipment that features familiar branding. Then, of course, there’s the Career mode, which lets you chart a fledgling club cricketer’s journey, as they hone their skills to become the next big sensation on the international stage. It’s unclear how in-depth this mode is, but Big Ant Studios claims that players will have to grow their fan base, and will be given more agency in how they want to balance Test matches and the big leagues.

As part of the launch, PlayStation also revealed a Cricket 24 PS5 bundle, costing Rs. 47,990 — Rs. 7,000 cheaper than the console’s retail price in the country. This introductory offer goes live from October 8 onwards and will be available to purchase from leading online retailers like Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, GamesTheShop, Reliance Digital, ShopatSC, and Vijay Sales. For now, though, the price is set at Rs. 57,990, so it’s recommended that you wait for the discounted price. The package itself comes with the 4K Bluray-equipped PS5 console, alongside a digital voucher code to download Cricket 24 (Indian Edition) and a DualSense controller. If you already own a PS5 or a PS4 console, the game is available to purchase digitally at Rs. 4,399 from the PlayStation store.

Cricket 24 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. A Nintendo Switch version is planned for late November.

iQOO Neo 10 and iQOO Neo 10 Pro are said to be in the works as a successor to iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro, respectively. While the Vivo sub-brand is close-mouthed about the arrival of the new Neo phones, a Chinese tipster has posted about their launch timeframe. The vanilla iQOO Neo 10 is expected to run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the iQOO Neo 10 Pro could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese), while replying to a user’s comment on a Weibo post, claimed that the iQOO Neo 10 series launch is scheduled for November. This rumoured launch timeline is a couple of weeks earlier than usal. iQOO launched the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro in December 2023 in China and the Pro model was unveiled in India in February this year.

iQOO Neo 10 is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro version could run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. They are expected to have a metal middle frame and could pack silicon batteries with 100W fast charging support. The battery capacity is likely to be more than 6,000mAh. They could feature a 1.5K resolution flat display with narrow bezels.

The iQOO Neo 9 series features 6.78-inch AMOLED displays. The Chinese variant of the iQoo Neo 9 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the iQoo Neo 9 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset under the hood. They carry up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 inbuilt storage. They have a 16-megapixel front camera, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and a 5,160mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.

Acer has introduced its TravelLite laptop lineup in India with up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processors. The business-focused laptops are designed to be portable and lightweight to make carrying them on an everyday basis easier and more comfortable. The company said the laptops weigh 1.34kg which places it among the lightweight laptops available in the market with a 14-inch display. Acer is also offering the laptop with various processor, storage, battery, and charging options to choose from.

The Acer TravelLite laptop is available in a single silver colour option and starts at the price of Rs. 34,990. The company has not shared particulars about where users can purchase it from, however, it is expected to be available on Acer’s website as well as the company’s authorised retailers.

The Acer TravelLite laptop features a 14-inch full-HD TF LCD panel with a peak brightness of 250 nits. The laptop has an aluminium body and a 180-degree hinge for added flexibility. The company has positioned the business-focused laptop as a portable computer for everyday carry. The TravelLite laptop has a US military standard certification of MIL-STD 810H for resistance in harsh environmental conditions. Further, the laptop comes with various security features such as a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), TPM 2.0, a Kensington lock slot, and an optional fingerprint reader.

Under the hood, the Acer TravelLite laptops are equipped with up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processors paired with up to 64GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 1TB Gen 4 NVME SSD inbuilt storage. For connectivity, the laptop offers a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port and a USB Type-C port. Further, the Acer TravelLite also comes with two options in battery — a 36Whr 3-cell Li-ion pack and a 49Whr 4-cell Li-ion pack.

The company claims a battery life of up to 10 hours with the former battery pack. There are two charging solutions users can choose from — a 45W and a 65W wired charging adapter. As per the company, the laptop also sports a spill-resistant keyboard and an option to include a backlit keyboard.

A remarkable image of the Milky Way’s swirling colours over Easter Island’s famed Moai statues was captured recently by photographer Josh Dury, a seasoned astrophotographer and contributor to Space.com. During his trip to Easter Island for last month’s annular solar eclipse, Dury took advantage of the island’s pristine night sky to photograph the ancient statues beneath a brilliant stretch of the Milky Way, showcasing a unique connection between the island’s historical culture and the universe above. This image, titled Aringa Ora O Te Tupuna or The Living Face of the Ancestors, was shared on social media and subsequently recognised by NASA as an Astronomy Photo of the Day (APOD).

Stunning Night Sky Above Iconic Moai Statues

The Moai statues, some of which are over twice the height of an average human and weigh up to 12,700 kilograms, stand as ancient figures on the remote island, renowned for its exceptionally dark skies, far from urban light pollution. During his stay, Dury, supported by island residents, positioned his camera to capture a composition that framed the statues with the Milky Way. The shot, in addition to its artistic merit, is seen as a tribute to the islanders and the ancestral legacy of the Rapa Nui people.

A Photographer’s Tribute to Culture and Science

Dury described the experience as one of the most emotionally significant of his career, dedicating the photograph to both the island’s people and its ancestors. In a statement about the image’s title, he explained that the phrase, in the native Rapa Nui language, represents a bridge between art, science the cultural importance of astronomy to the island’s inhabitants.

The counting of votes for the Jharkhand assembly elections is underway with the latest trends showing the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led INDIA bloc leading over the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The JMM of Chief Minister Hemant Soren fought in 41 assembly seats in the 81-seat assembly and gave the remaining ones to its allies – Congress (30 seats), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) (6), and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (4). The BJP contested 68 seats, while its allies, the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) fought in 10, the Janata Dal (United) in two, and the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) in one.

Jharkhand voted in two phases – November 13 for 43 seats and November 20 for 38 seats – and witnessed an overall voter turnout of 67.74 per cent, which was 1.65 per cent higher than the 2019 poll figures.

Votes are also being counted for the Maharashtra assembly elections and for the bypolls to 48 Assembly seats in 14 states and in the Lok Sabha segments of Nanded in Maharashtra and Wayanad in Kerala. Congress’ Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is making her poll debut from Wayanad, a seat that was earlier represented in the Lok Sabha by her brother, Rahul Gandhi.

RJD’s Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav is also leading from Hussainabad by 8,213 votes over BJP MLA Kamlesh Kumar Singh.

Party’s candidate Rashmi Prakash, however, is trailing from Chatra by 3,776 votes.

Election Results: JMM seeks suspension of internet near counting centres

The ruling JMM in Jharkhand has written to the Election Commission and demanded the suspension of internet services within 2 km radius of the counting centres. The Hemant Soren-led party has also demanded a ban on electronic gadgets near the counting centres.

The counting of votes for the 81-member Jharkhand assembly is scheduled on Saturday across 24 centres in the state.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) fought in 41 assembly seats in the 81-seat assembly. It left the remaining ones for its allies – Congress (30 seats), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) (6), and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (4).

On the other hand, the Opposition BJP contested 68 seats, while its NDA partners All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) fought in 10, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) in two, and the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) in one.

The actor was spotted in the stands during the ongoing Test match between India and Australia at Optus Stadium, Perth. Anushka kept her look simple in a white T-shirt teamed with denims. Several photos and videos from the stadium featuring the actor have surfaced on social media.

In one clip, she is clapping for the team, while in one she is standing with a plate in her hand. She was also spotted celebrating along with Sanjana Ganesan when Harshit Rana took Virat Kohli’s advice to dismiss Mitchell Starc.

Before the opening test got underway, Anushka and Virat along with their kids were spotted spending time in Perth. In the photo, Virat and Anushka are seen sipping coffee with their daughter, Vamika, sitting in a stroller.

Diablo IV is coming to Steam, merely four months after its multi-platform launch. The devilish loot RPG is headed to Valve’s game storefront on October 17, keeping with creator Blizzard’s promise to bring more of its PC catalogue to the commonly preferred choice of platform. You see, all PC games from Blizzard are restricted to its proprietary Battle.net launcher, making it a nuisance for players to jump between and log into different accounts. It’s a hot topic among the community, who’d much rather have their entire library on Steam, for easy access. The free-to-play shooter Overwatch 2 was the first to break this tradition in August, albeit that ended poorly.

The Steam version is now available for wishlisting, and owners will be required to link/ connect Diablo 4 to a Battle.net account, enabling cross-platform play and cross-progression. That said, the game can be launched natively and there’s no need for you to keep Blizzard’s app installed on your PC. The arrival also brings the niceties of unlockable achievements, alongside smooth access to the Steam friend list, so you can invite others for co-op demon-killing sessions. For now, there is no word on whether existing owners of the game will be getting a discount on their Steam purchase, but the store page listing does feature three editions — Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate — same as the initial launch. During the developer update live stream, held late Wednesday, the team noted that the dungeon-crawler is playable on the Steam Deck, though they never went into the specifics of graphical settings.

Diablo 4’s arrival on Steam coincides with the upcoming season 2 content, titled ‘Season of Blood,’ granting you vampiric powers to storm through the lands of Sanctuary. The update will introduce a new questline, pairing you with the crossbow-wielding vampire hunter Erys, voiced by Gemma Chan (The Eternals), as you investigate a string of bloodied murders and the Dark Master responsible for it. More importantly, players can access the season 2 content right after completing the Missing Pieces prologue quest, essentially skipping the campaign to fulfil their blood-sucking desires. The update also vastly improves the endgame progression by increasing XP gains after level 50, faster by up to 40 percent. Expect five new endgame bosses, a general balance of skills, and faster mounts for traversal.

As mentioned before, Overwatch 2 was the first Blizzard PC game to make a jump to Steam, with the publisher promising that it plans on bringing over more titles. The shooter’s arrival was instantly blasted with negative reviews, making it the worst-reviewed game on the platform. At the time of writing, it’s got an ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’ review score, due to players’ dissatisfaction with the battle pass system and the cancellation of its long-promised PvE mode. Diablo IV, on the other hand, was received well at launch but slowly fell off with season 1’s release that made the game incredibly unfun to grind. Hopefully, fate doesn’t repeat itself this time.

Diablo IV is headed to Steam on October 17. It is already available to play on PC via Battle.net, in addition to console through PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.

Anupam Kher opens up on the reason behind Bollywood’s underwhelming performance in 2024, and whether OTT is emerging a safer space for artistes

The year 2024 has been a little disappointing at the box office for Hindi films, with barring a few successes, most films failed to do well. Actor Anupam Kher, who completed 40 years in the industry this year and gave an OTT film which received praise Vijay 69, asks the industry to self-reflect in this scenario.

He says, “Going to cinema is an outing that a person does with their family, so you have to improve the quality of cinema because you are competing with streaming platforms and the millions of sources of entertainment in the world. Why don’t we raise our bar?” The actor adds that the biggest challenge for the industry right now is storytelling: “India is such a huge country, and we are not telling our stories. Hindi cinema is still struggling to tell stories which are from our lands. Most stories you feel you have seen it somewhere, sometimes even the sequences are already seen in other films. The best way to reinvent yourself is to look back and look inside.”

Ask him if OTT is become a safer space in this scenario with theatricals proving to be a risky choice and Anupam Kher says, “I have been in films for 40 years now. Every time we blamed something’s rise for theatrical not doing well, but cinema is still going on. When VHS came or TV became commercial, people were like films will die, but it didn’t happen. With OTT, the same thing happened. But what OTT has done is it has created jobs for a lot of people and improved the quality of content.”

Taking example of his latest outing, Anupam asserts, “What makes Vijay 69 different is that it is a completely original script. Kahin pe bhi pehle kuch nahi dekha hai. There is no unnecessary high speed shot or slo-mos. It’s about a human story.” But he does defend theatricals too. “Hindi cinema also has to cater to the audiences of many languages—be it Malayalam, Telugu or Gujarati. But it’s high time we write stories where people say ‘yes, we want to go to the theatres and watch this film’,” he ends.
