Blizzard’s Diablo IV, which recently came to Valve’s storefront, has gotten a 40 percent discount — Rs. 3,359 — tossing you into the hellish landscape of the Sanctuary to battle bloodthirsty monsters as a legendary horned demon Lilith, Queen of the Succubi comes into power. Lacklustre post-launch content has tarnished this game’s reputation, so why not give it a test run with the six-day-long free trial? Bethesda’s expansive space RPG Starfield has also received a first discount, setting you centuries into the future where humanity has begun thriving on other planets. It’s available at Rs. 3,999 at a 20 percent discount.

PlayStation Studios’ entire catalogue is part of the promotion as well, including The Last of Us Part I, which drops down to Rs. 2,679 (33 percent off) despite the lingering issues with visual fidelity and performance even at lower graphical presets.

Starfield Review

The acclaimed God of War 2019 reboot, in which a now-reserved Kratos and his son Atreus set off on a treacherous journey through Nordic lands to scatter his wife’s ashes from the highest peak in the nine realms. It’s available at 40 percent off for Rs. 1,979. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, a package of two games — Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy — is available at the same price, too, letting you pick between Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer’s adventures in the wild. And it might be a couple of years before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes to PC, but if you still haven’t caught up on Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ saga, then now’s the perfect time. Spider-Man Remastered is priced at Rs. 2,399, while its shorter spinoff sequel costs Rs. 1,979.

FromSoftware fans, who were drawn in through the studio’s recent titles Elden Ring and Armored Core VI games, can take a trip down memory lane with the Dark Souls trilogy. It is worth mentioning that publisher Bandai Namco has upped Dark Souls Remastered’s base price, so with a 50 percent discount, it’s now listed at Rs. 1,199 — the original price tag until July 2023. Its sequels have not undergone a price increase, with Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin costing Rs. 1,199 and Dark Souls III at Rs. 2,149 — both at 50 percent off, with DLCs/ Season Pass to purchase separately. Meanwhile, the Pinocchio-inspired souls-like title, Lies of P, has received its first price drop, down from Rs. 3,700 to Rs. 2,960. This is the closest a PC gamer would come towards experiencing Bloodborne, and to that effect, it delivers gracefully with a haunting atmosphere and bone-chilling boss designs. Another major souls-like Lords of the Fallen is also on sale at a 34 percent discount for Rs. 1,979, though be wary of persistent performance issues.

Cyberpunk 2077 Review

If open-world is your jam, then Red Dead Redemption 2 is a no-brainer — a 67 percent discount, taking the price down to Rs. 1,055. Or you can delve into the futuristic Blade Runner-esque world of Cyberpunk 2077, available at Rs. 1,499, excluding the Phantom Liberty expansion. iQOO 13 was launched in China on Wednesday. The smartphone comes with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. The company packs its in-house Q2 gaming chip in the phone as well. It ships with Android 15-based OriginOS 5 skin on top. The handset comes with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone is confirmed to launch in India in soon.

iQOO 13 Price, Availability

iQOO 13 price in China starts at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 47,200) for the 12GB + 256GB option, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 53,100). The 16GB RAM versions with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options are listed at CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 50,800), CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs. 55,500), and CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs. 61,400), respectively. 

The phone is available for purchase via the Vivo China e-store and is offered in four colour options — Isle of Man, Legendary Edition, Nardo Grey, and Track Edition (translated from Chinese).

iQOO 13 Specifications, Features

The iQOO 13 sports a 6.82-inch 2K (1,440 x 3,168 pixels) BOE Q10 8T LTPO 2.0 OLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and HDR support. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 onboard storage. The phone carries a Q2 gaming chipset and runs on Android 15-based OriginOS 5 out-of-the-box.

In the camera department, the iQOO 13 gets a triple rear camera unit, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel sensor paired with a telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter with OIS support. The rear camera module has a customisable “Energy Halo” LED around it with support for six dynamic effects and 12 colour combinations. The front camera of the handset holds a 32-megapixel sensor. 

iQOO 13 houses a 6,150mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. For security, the phone has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The handset comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

The Isle of Man, Legendary Edition, and Nardo Grey variants of the iQOO 13 measure 163.37 x 76.71 x 8.13mm in size and weigh 213g, while the Track Edition measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs 207g.

Nvidia unveiled Project G-Assist, an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant powered by its Ray Tracing Texel eXtreme (RTX) platform on Sunday at Computex 2024. The tech giant introduced it as a personal gaming assistant for PCs that can answer queries about any video game including gaming strategies and analysing multiplayer replays. The AI comes with natural language and computer vision capabilities, enabling it to accept text, speech and screen information as input. Currently, there is no launch date for the product. Notably, Microsoft also demonstrated a similar use case of Copilot during its Build event.

Nvidia unveils Project G-Assist

The Project G-Assist is part of Nvidia’s RTX AI toolkit, which witnessed several other announcements on June 2 as well. The AI assistant, in particular, is the company’s effort to bring game knowledge to players with generative AI. Interestingly, in 2017, Nvidia posted a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) about GeForce GTX G-Assist, a tool that can play games on the player’s behalf, as an April Fool’s joke.

Now, seven years later, Nvidia is bringing that dream to reality. So what can the AI assistant do? Sharing a tech demonstration using the game ARK: Survival Ascended from Studio Wildcard, the company highlighted a wide range of areas where Project G-Assist can help players. Primarily meant as a tool to quickly look up the best weapon in the game or a solution when stuck on a mission, the AI assistant can perform much more complex tasks as well.

During the demonstration, Project G-Assist helps create a gaming strategy to survive in the early game, offers an analysis of multiplayer replays, assists with finding the best settings to play the game in and finds out the best way to optimise the game in a given PC. Notably, the AI assistant gets both large language model (LLM) capabilities as well as computer vision, so it can understand natural language and pick up context by analysing the screen in real time.

The Project G-Assist can run both through servers and locally on-device powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs to offer flexibility to gamers. Based on the demo, it appears that the AI assistant can access the internet in both cases, as it might need to scour the web to find answers to certain questions.

Currently, Project G-Assist only exists as a demo, and Nvidia has not shared any details around its launch date.

OnePlus 13 was launched in China on October 31. One of the standout features of the smartphone is its Hasselblad-tuned triple rear camera. The company has now bolstered its feature set even further with the introduction of a new dedicated macro mode that lets users capture close-up images using the OnePlus 13’s ultra-wide angle camera. Notably, this development comes ahead of the smartphone’s anticipated debut in global markets.

OnePlus 13 Macro Mode Uses 50-Megapixel Ultrawide Camera for Macro Photography

In a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, OnePlus announced that its latest software update for the new OnePlus 13 in China introduces a new dedicated macro mode for close-up photography. It is denoted by a flower petal icon in the top right corner of the default camera app.

Following its rollout, users can take pictures with the macro mode using the smartphone’s 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. Since the OnePlus 13 is currently only available in China, the update is limited to the aforementioned region too.

For photography, the OnePlus 13 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup tuned by Hasselblad. It comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and an f/1.6 aperture, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (3x optical, 6x in-sensor, 120x digital) with OIS and an f/2.6 aperture. There’s also a 32-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture on the front for selfies.

OnePlus 13 Specifications

OnePlus 13 sports a 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ (1440×3168 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits of peak brightness and Dolby Vision support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and an Adreno 830 GPU, paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 inbuilt storage. The handset packs a 6,000mAh battery with 100W Flash Charge (wired) and 50W Flash Charge (wireless) support.

Cyberpunk 2077 is getting an Ultimate Edition, which includes the latest version of the game, alongside the Phantom Liberty expansion. The complete version is set to launch December 5, across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, with the last of them getting a full physical release. The Xbox package will come with three discs comprising all content, whereas the PS5 version will include a disc for the base version with the v2.0 overhaul and a voucher for the expansion to be downloaded from the PlayStation store. Meanwhile, the PC version serves a redeemable code on the GOG platform — no discs at all — CD Projekt Red’s own gaming client, which ensures it keeps the full cut from the purchase.

“The reason for the difference in how the Phantom Liberty is included in the Ultimate Edition is due to technical requirements specific to each platform,” a CD Projekt Red spokesperson told IGN about the odd packaging decision. This is, of course, disappointing for PlayStation owners, who’ve been vying for physical media preservation, as major publishers continue down a path of digital future. While CD Projekt Red has simply cited platform-specific ‘technical requirements’ as a hindrance, Digital Foundry’s John Linneman suspects that the developer presumably didn’t want to make a separate disc build for the PS5 release. What’s more odd is that Cyberpunk 2077 was never launched physically on new-gen consoles, so the publisher should’ve made an entirely separate build on three discs, in addition to pulling the new cover art. For what it’s worth, Cyberpunk 2077 has now beaten Baldur’s Gate 3 to the punch, which was also planned for release on three discs on the Xbox Series X.

Owners of the old-gen PS4 and Xbox One consoles won’t be able to access the Ultimate Edition since the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion are reserved for the current-gen. The complete Cyberpunk 2077 experience is expected to cost $60 (about Rs. 5,000), with the physical versions going up for sale across select retailers on December 5. PC players should be able to buy the Ultimate Edition digitally from GOG, whereas Steam users can purchase the bundle, which is currently available at Rs. 2,758 as part of the ongoing Autumn Sale. This also marks the end of Cyberpunk 2077’s post-launch content, as the team transitions to Unreal Engine 5 for future development on projects such as the Cyberpunk sequel and a bunch of announced Witcher games.

Cyberpunk 2077 suffered a rocky launch in 2020, with PS4 players facing the worst experience due to extremely low framerates and crashes, causing Sony to interfere and delist it from the platform. After years of hotfixes and patches, the game saw a sudden resurgence last year when the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime dropped on Netflix, attracting millions of players back to experience Night City. The studio then launched a 2.0 update in September, which completely overhauled the perk system and limited tech augmentations, in anticipation of the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Huawei could be working on a foldable phone that could be equipped with a cover that could be attached to the device, according to a patent document published on the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) website. Images of the purported handset suggest that it could arrive as a tri-fold foldable phone, with the outermost panel doubling as a protective cover when it is shut. The company recently launched the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design as the world’s first commercially available tri-fold phone.

Huawei Patent Document Points to Foldable With Attached Cover 

A patent document on CNIPA discovered by 91Mobiles describes a foldable device, such as a smartphone or a tablet, that includes a protective case. The folding device is said to have two parts that are connected with a hinge, that can be unfolded and folded. The document appears to be discussing a phone with two panels that can form a larger display.

The device in Huawei’s patent document features a fixed frame, along with an attached cover that is designed to be flexible, as it is supposed to wrap around the flexible portion of the foldable device, when it is shut. However, the description states that the cover will have a slim design, in order to lower the overall footprint of the handset.

 According to the details available in the document, Huawei’s protective case could provide protection to the device, as it wraps around the part of the display that bends. The foldable is said to have an S-shaped design when it is shut, and the protective cover is said to have a transparent portion that can be used to view the contents of the screen when the device is shut.

Huawei’s patent document also describes the use of magnetic components in the device to allow the bending parts of the foldable to connect to metal parts inside it. In is currently unclear how these components would function, but the document clearly states that the purpose of the third component is to protect the display.

While Gadgets 360 was able to confirm the presence of the patent document on the CNIPA website, there’s no telling whether a device with this technology will be launched by the company in the future. Like other inventions described in patent documents, the company could change how the technology works before it is incorporated into future devices.
