Amitabh Bachchan finally breaks silence on speculations around his family amidst rumours about Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan; calls them 'Speculated UNTRUTHS without verifications'

It’s been months since there have been rumours and reports about the Bachchan family which seem to have gone overboard in many ways. There have been speculations around of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s divorce, ever since they arrived separately at the Ambani wedding. The Bachchan family, however, has continued to maintain a dignified silence on all the speculations and reports.
Amitabh Bachchan has finally addressed all of it, on his latest blog post, albeit cryptically. On Thursday afternoon, the legendary actor penned a long note on his blog, and expressed why he doesn’t talk much about his family. He also spoke about the truth behind these speculations. Big B wrote, “It takes immense courage conviction and a sincerity to be different and believe in its presence in life .. I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain and its privacy is maintained by me .. Speculations are speculations .. they are speculated untruths, without verifications .. “
He further revealed why he believes in maintaining his family privacy. “I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain and its privacy is maintained by me .. Speculations are speculations .. they are speculated untruths.”
The ‘Don’ actor further mentioned how reports or what’s written must be verified first. “Verifications are sought by the seekers to authenticate their business and commercials of the profession they be in .. I shall not challenge their desire to be in the profession of their choice .. and I shall appreciate their effort in serving society .. But untruths .. or selected question marked information can be a legal safeguard for them that inform .. but the seed of suspected belief is sown with this most used emblem .. the question mark ..”
He further cryptically expressed disappointment on several unverified pieces. “Write express whatever you like .. but when you follow it up with a question mark, you are not only saying that the write may be questionable .. but also quite surreptitiously wanting the reader to believe and expand on it, so that your write gets valued repeats,” said Big B.
Bachchan used a question mark to speak about the conscience of those who spread things without being unsure or having them verified. “Fill the World with untruth or questioned untruth and your job is over, how it may have affected the subject individual or situation has been hand washed away from your hands ..Your conscience , if ever you have one, has been overridden .. ??? ? ? ? I have question marked it ..SO THERE .., !!!!”
The ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ actor further concluded his long note with a laughter emoji and said, “EACH PROFESSION CAN HAVE THESE QUALITIES, and this is my safeguard in the write .. “
Meanwhile, Bachchan has also been showering praises on his son Abhishek Bachchan as his new film with Shoojit Sircar set to release on November 22, is already garnering praises from early reviews.

Android 16 — the next operating system (OS) from Google — was released in developer preview on Wednesday. A dive into the update has now revealed that it might bring a new feature which automatically hides sensitive notifications, such as OTPs and two-factor authentication codes, from the smartphone’s home screen, according to a report. With this step, it may reportedly become more difficult for malicious apps to extract said information, potentially improving privacy.

Hidden Notifications in Android 16

In a report, Android Authority’s Mishaal Rahman detailed the feature discovered in the Android 16 Developer Preview 1. As per the publication, Android System Intelligence will be able to detect when notifications, which are considered “sensitive”, appear on the lock screen and automatically redact them without user intervention.

The sensitive notifications will still be hidden even if the sensitive notifications option is enabled in the device settings, as per the report. If disabled, only the app name, which has sent the notification, will appear on the lock screen. A separate setting for lock screen notifications is also reportedly added in the Android 16 Developer Preview 1. Here, users can control which apps and devices read notifications and the extent to which they are hidden.

The report suggests a similar option was previously discovered in Android 15. It is said to leverage the Android System Intelligence which processes information and checks for any sensitive content like two-factor authentication codes, before it is passed on to the Notification Listener API. Only apps which have been signed with the system certificate or perform select roles will be granted access to read sensitive content in notifications.

Android 16 Release Date

According to a previous report, Android 16 will be moved to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) on June 3. Further, it will be made available as an over-the-air (OTA) update starting with the Google Pixel devices on the same day. Google has also confirmed that it will have a major Android release in Q2 2025, followed by a minor release in the fourth quarter.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Claimed to Be Timed Xbox Exclusive, Launch on PS5 Next Year


Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to be released later this year, with Microsoft said to be eyeing the Holiday 2024 launch window. Bethesda’s action-adventure title will be exclusive to PC and Xbox Series S/X at launch. That exclusivity, however, may not remain in place for long. According to an industry insider, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will make its way to PS5 next year. The rumour isn’t the first of its kind: earlier this year, several Microsoft first party titles were reported to be in consideration for launch on rival platforms from Sony and Nintendo, including triple-A Xbox exclusives like Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Indiana Jones Tipped to Launch on PS5

The information comes from Nate the Hate (@NateTheHate2), a reliable games industry insider who has previously leaked accurate developments ahead of official announcements. In a post on X Monday, the tipster claimed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on PC and Xbox in December as a timed console exclusive.

“After this timed-exclusive window expires, Indiana Jones & the Great Circle is planned to come to PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2025,” they added.

Developer MachineGames, Bethesda and Microsoft have thus far not indicated any plans for the game to launch on PS5. A first-party Microsoft title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is confirmed to launch on PC, Xbox Series S/X and Game Pass.

In February, multiple reports claimed that Microsoft was gearing up to bring its exclusive games to PS5 and Nintendo Switch. One such report had claimed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was being considered for a PS5 launch. The report, citing a source privy to Microsoft’s plans, had said that the Indiana Jones game seemed set to be joining a list of Xbox titles that could make their way to rival consoles.

Micrsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer confirmed later that month that four Xbox exclusive games were indeed making the jump to PS5 and Nintendo Switch, but confirmed that triple-A Bethesda releases like Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would remain as Xbox and PC exclusives.

However, several reports have since claimed that the Xbox parent plans to launch more of its first-party titles on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was revealed with a trailer at Microsoft’s Developer Direct showcase in January. The first-person shooter, action-adventure title is based on the Lucasfilm franchise and will let players play as the iconic Indiana Jones in an original story inspired by the films. The game does not have a confirmed release date yet but will arrive on PC and Xbox sometime later this year.

Australian teen Bianca Jones has become the fourth tourist to have died in a suspected mass poisoning in Laos.

The 19-year-old’s family confirmed her death to the media on Thursday. Hours earlier, the US State Department told the media that an American man died in the tourist town of Vang Vieng.

Two Danish women, aged 19 and 20, also died last week in Laos, Danish authorities confirmed, declining to share more due to confidentiality concerns.

The deaths remain under police investigation, but news reports and testimonies online from other tourists suggest they may have consumed drinks laced with methanol, a deadly substance often found in bootleg alcohol.

Jones’s friend Holly Bowles is in hospital on life support, while a British woman is also reportedly in hospital.

New Zealand’s foreign ministry told local media on Thursday that one of its citizens was also unwell from suspected methanol poisoning. It is unclear how many more people have fallen ill.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the department of foreign affairs had confirmed Jones’s death.

“Our first thoughts in this moment are with her family and friends who are grieving a terrible and cruel loss,” Albanese said on Thursday afternoon.

“This is every parent’s very worst fear and a nightmare that no one should have to endure.”

He said he hoped Ms Bowles, who is currently at Bangkok Hospital, would recover well.

The US State Department said it was “closely monitoring” the situation with regards to the American victim, adding that it was up to local authorities to determine the cause of death.

Australian, New Zealand and UK authorities have each warned their citizens to be careful of methanol poisoning when consuming alcohol in Laos.

An Australian teen remains in a critical condition at Bangkok Hospital

Nana Backpacker Hostel, where the two Australian women stayed in Vang Vieng, told the BBC that it was closed for police investigation.

The hostel’s manager told the Associated Press that the two women were among more than 100 guests who received free shots of Lao vodka from the hostel. The pair then headed out for the night, he said, adding that no other guests reported health issues.

The manager said he hoped the investigation would clear the hostel’s name, but said they have stopped giving free shots for now.

In a statement to Australian newspaper the Herald Sun, Jones’s family expressed their “deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support, love, and prayers we’ve received from across Australia”.

“We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate through our grief and begin to heal,” the statement said.

Unlike ethanol, the key component of alcoholic beverages, methanol is toxic to humans. Bootleg liquor producers sometimes add it to their drinks, however, as a cheap way to increase alcohol content.

Earlier this year, at least 57 people in India died after consuming methanol-laced liquor. Similar cases of mass poisoning have also been reported across the world, from the Philippines to Peru.

Vang Vieng is a small riverside town in central Laos, and a hub for backpackers in Southeast Asia.

Apple may be developing a new MacBook with an all-glass display, according to a newly granted patent. The purported device may replace the hardware-based keyboard for an on-screen one, similar to the Asus Zenbook Duo OLED. It is also rumoured to feature a shaker module that would generate low-frequency audio output. Notably, this is not the first time such an Apple device has been mentioned. Reports of this purported Macbook being in development have surfaced in the last few years, and this latest patent only strengthens claims that its development could be a possibility.

Apple’s Patent for an All-Glass MacBook 

A patent granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office (via PatentlyApple) reveals Apple may be developing a new type of electronic device that would offer text input functionality via its user interface when actuated. When that is not the case, it would have other functions too, similar to other surfaces of the housing. This is part is speculated to be a virtual keyboard and trackpad on the purported MacBook.

The particular housing is also said to be configured to protect the internal components of the purported device as well as serve to provide an aesthetic appearance. However, it is not a mechanism that is built into any opening of the said device. The icons of the ports would be mirrored onto the housing, assisting the user in plugging them in.

In addition to an all-glass design, the purported MacBook would also be equipped with a “shaker module”. The patent document suggests that it could generate controlled vibrations via low-frequency output.

The purported shaker module can be attached to various surfaces of the device within constrained height, and might be able to mimic low-frequency sounds when used in devices which do not have the space to install dedicated components.

However, it is crucial to note that not all devices whose patents have been granted make it to the final production stage. Thus, it is currently unclear whether Apple’s purported MacBook with an all-glass design will debut in the future.

Apple is holding discussions with several Indian companies as part of the iPhone maker’s efforts to build its own supply chain ecosystem in the country, according to a report. Apple heavily relied on Chinese suppliers until 2020, but the firm has since attempted to move production to other regions, including India and Vietnam. The company is reportedly in talks with firms in India to explore the possibility of setting up joint ventures with foreign firms to product components in India.

Apple Looks to Indian Firms to Source Components Due to Delayed Import Approvals

According to a Moneycontrol report citing a source familiar with the company’s plans, Apple has held discussions with over 40 Indian electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies such as Dixon Tech and Amber Enterprises, as well as with international EMS firms. Other firms approached by the company reportedly include HCLTech, Wipro, and Motherson Group.

The source also told the publication that the reason for these discussions was that Apple’s Chinese suppliers were reluctant to invest in the country “due to existing cases against other Chinese companies” and visa issues.

Meanwhile, the report also states that the reason Apple is looking to source more components from firms in India is because government approvals for imports of components like batteries, chargers and other components from Chinese suppliers are currently delayed.

However, producing components in India is expected to be a challenging affair, and Apple is reportedly in talks with the Indian companies to set up joint ventures with firms from countries like Taiwan, Japan, China, and South Korea to manufacture some components in the country.

The company recently recorded its highest-ever quarterly shipments in India, with as many as 4 million units shipped. Meanwhile, its market share rose to 8.6 percent, up from 5.7 percent in Q3 2023. Apple’s bestselling phones in the previous quarter were the iPhone 15 and iPhone 13, which were launched in 2023 and 2021, respectively.

A recent Bloomberg report reveals that Apple exported iPhone models produced in India worth nearly $6 billion (roughly Rs. 50,500 crore) in a six-month period, and the company is expected to cross the $10 billion (roughly Rs. 84,100 crore) mark. Apple relies on Foxconn, Pegatron, and Tata Electronics to produce iPhone models in India — Tata recently sealed a deal to acquire Pegatron’s plant in Tamil Nadu.

Actor Niki Aneja Wahlia opened up about her foray into the film industry despite wanting to be a pilot. While talking to Siddharth Kannan, she recalled how she was ‘uncomfortable’ while shooting for her debut film, Mr Azaad, in 1994. Here’s what she said. ‘Compromise karlo, kya problem hain?’

In the interview, Niki said she had always wanted to be a pilot and study aviation in Houston, Texas. But when her father, Narayan Aneja, refused to fund her education, her cousin Parmeet Sethi suggested she try modelling to earn money. Soon after, Pahlaj Nihalani offered her first film, and she said yes only because it was opposite Anil Kapoor.

But Niki says her father, who owned a studio, was always against her working in the film industry because there was a ‘lot of casting couch back then’. The actor, who was just 19, found her dreams crushed when she felt ‘bullied’ and ‘objectified’ on the film’s sets, especially while shooting outdoors in Ooty.

“The way I was being talked about…almost objectified, I did not like it. I was starting to feel uncomfortable when I wasn’t treated nicely. I realise there’s more to acting, like say, casting couch. They said aap compromise karlo, kya problem hain? (You need to compromise; what’s the issue?) I don’t resonate with it at all. I was being asked to dine with distributors. I asked Pahlaj ji, why are you asking this? He said, picture nahi bechni hai kya? (don’t you want to sell the film). They were like, karna padega; karna hi hain (you have to do it),” recollected Niki.

The actor also recalled questioning why Pahlaj needed her to sell the picture despite having Anil on board, which made her ‘infamous’ on the set. She said she would’ve quit acting after the experience if not for her father leaving a debt while dying and the good experience she had on the set of Yes Boss with Shah Rukh Khan.

Microsoft Teams Unified App for Personal, Work and Education Accounts Released on Windows, Mac Devices


Microsoft Teams was updated to a unified app for personal, work and other usage for Windows and Mac devices on Tuesday. With its introduction, the need for having two separate Teams apps installed on PCs has been eliminated, says Microsoft. Users can also easily switch between different accounts when joining video conferencing calls. Notably, the new unified app was first reported to be in development in March, with a commercial launch planned for May.

In a blog post, Microsoft announced the new Teams app for personal, work and educational use. Previously, users had to have two separate apps depending on their usage. Following its rollout, users can access all of their accounts in side-by-side windows on a single app, and they can switch between them by tapping the profile picture icon on the top-right corner of the screen. While Microsoft still allows users to join meetings without being signed in, they now have the option to switch accounts before entering a room.

It carries over the existing functionalities of the Microsoft Teams app for personal use, enabling users to create and join meetings for free or create Communities to bring their group together with calling, chat and file-sharing features. The company adds that enterprise administrators who have set sign-in restrictions for their respective user base will have these restrictions respected.

“Whether you’re joining a call to connect with a customer or discuss your school’s fall fundraiser, simply select your preferred account the moment you join the meeting”, said Amit Fulay, Vice President of Product at Microsoft.

Gadgets 360 staff members were able to verify the availability of the new Teams app on the Microsoft Store and it joins the existing apps on Android and iOS app stores. As per the company, users who already have Teams installed will automatically receive the update. Alternatively, they can download the exe (executable) setup file for Teams from the official website to install on their Windows 11/Windows 10 PCs and Macs.
