OpenAI has become increasingly important to Apple’s artificial intelligence strategy, with the iPhone maker bringing the AI firm’s chatbot, ChatGPT, to Apple devices in June as part of “Apple Intelligence.”
Apple was also reported to gain an observer role on OpenAI’s board.
Microsoft, OpenAI’s largest strategic investor with over $10 billion (roughly Rs. 787 crore) invested, is also expected to participate in the funding round, according to the WSJ report.
The exact investment amounts from Apple, Microsoft and Nvidia remain undisclosed.
OpenAI’s high valuation is a result of the AI arms race it sparked with the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022, prompting companies across industries to invest billions in the technology to stay ahead of the competition and capture market share.

A live Amazon microsite reveals a teaser for the next HMD handset in India. Although the posters do not reveal the moniker of the upcoming handset, one of them bears the tagline “Experience Fusion.” This suggests that the model anticipated to launch soon is the HMD Fusion and that it will be available for purchase in the country via Amazon. The teaser images claim that the phone will allow users to modify designs and self-repair it.

The HMD Fusion has a 6.56-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM. It supports up to 256GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 14 out-of-the-box.
In the camera department, the HMD Fusion carries a dual rear camera unit including a 108-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera holds a 50-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support. It carries a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP52-rated build for dust and splash resistance.
Similar to the HMD Skyline handset, which was launched in India in September, users can self-repair certain elements of the HMD Fusion including battery by utilising the company’s iFixit kit. The HMD Fusion supports interchangeable covers called Smart Outfits as well, which can be attached to the device through six pins. A video of Diljit performing Patiala Peg at the Ahmedabad concert on November 17 was shared widely on social media. The singer moved around the stage as he sang and at one point, lost his footing and fell.
However, the Punjabi singer recovered quickly and continued singing. He asked the backup singers to pause for a second and told the organisers in Hindi, “The fire you launch here, don’t do that. Oil gets spilled on the stage.” He then gestured to the crowd with a thumbs up and said, “I’m ok,” before resuming the song.
A fan club shared the video with the caption: “Even stars stumble! Diljit Dosanjh takes a fall during his Ahmedabad concert but bounces back with his signature charm, proving the show must always go on!”
Many fans chuckled at how the singer fell right after the line of the song he was singing referred to a fall. “Bro fell at the right lyrics ‘hor kisi te dul gaya’,” read one comment.

Intel Core Ultra 200S series processors for desktop PCs, codenamed Arrow Lake, were launched by the company on Thursday. This is the first desktop offering by the chip maker with a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU). With 36 trillion operations per second (TOPS) performance claimed, these will also be the first Intel chipsets to power AI PCs. Apart from improved performance via the NPU, the company also stated that the CPU and GPU have also received significant upgrades. The Intel Core Ultra 200S processors will be available in retail and online stores as well as via OEM partner systems starting October 24.
Intel Core Ultra 200S Series Processors Launched
In a press release, the tech giant detailed the latest processors. The Intel Core Ultra 200S processor family is led by the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285K as well as five other desktop processors. All of these feature up to eight performance cores (P-cores) and up to 16 efficient cores (E-cores). The company claimed that the new PC architecture offers up to 6 percent faster single-threaded performance and 14 percent higher performance in multi-threaded workloads compared to the previous generation. The processors also sport a built-in Iris Xe GPU.
Intel highlighted that the Arrow Lake processors are focused towards power efficiency, and offer up to 58 percent lower package power while running everyday apps and up to 165W lower consumption of system power during gaming.
Coming to the NPU, the dedicated system offers hardware-accelerated AI capabilities. While the company did not reveal the architecture, it claimed that the processors offer up to 36 TOPS of performance. The chip maker also claimed that the Core Ultra 200S series can offer up to 50 percent faster performance in AI-enabled creator applications compared to competing processors.
For connectivity, the Intel Core Ultra 200S series desktop processors offer compatibility with up to 24 PCIe 4.0 lanes, up to eight SATA 3.0 ports, and up to 10 USB 3.2 ports. Additionally, they also support two integrated Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3.

Page Six cited a source who claimed that Pitt is sceptical of Jolie’s intentions, given the proximity of their ongoing Château Miraval dispute.
16-year-old Knox appeared on the first red carpet in three years and posed alongside his mother at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, with Jolie beaming as they shared the spotlight.
“Brad finds it a bit coincidental that a judge signed off on the [Château] Miraval trial just days before Knox joined Angelina at the Governors Awards,” the insider said. “So he really questions her motive for bringing Knox.”
“Angelina felt so proud having Knox by her side,” another insider explained. “He typically prefers to stay out of the spotlight and Angelina respects that decision, but he asked if he could join her, and of course, she was thrilled that he wanted to be there.”

Both the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15 and support dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) connectivity. The former features a 6.59-inch (1,256×2,760 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen that refreshes at 120Hz and has a peak brightness of 4,500nits and a 460ppi pixel density.
