Bobby Deol reveals how Dharmendra`s death brought him closer to Esha and Ahana

Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s demise has left a void in the industry. His son, Bobby Deol, recently shared how tough it has been to grapple with the loss of his father. He also revealed that the grief has reshaped relationships and has brought him closer to his entire family, including half-sisters Esha and Ahana, in an unexpected way.

Bobby Deol on dealing with Dharmendra’s demise

Talking about losing him and how grief has rearranged his priorities, Bobby said, “There are all these days where I wish I had sat with him more. I wish I had asked him more questions… Now more than ever, I’m mindful of being with my sons, my wife, and my family. The box office, the reviews, the roles… eventually, they don’t matter, man. Success is measured in how much time you can afford to spend with the ones you love. What’s the point of fame and wealth when there’s no one to witness it with you? You know, I keep watching his reels on Instagram. He was so candid… so full of warmth. Sometimes it feels like he’s talking directly to me.”

Grief has also brought Bobby closer to his half-sisters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. “I feel we’re all dealing with it in our own ways. Sometimes you misunderstand each other because you’re hurting. Everyone feels their pain is more than the other’s. But you give it time. Let it heal. Loss has its own way of bringing a family closer.”

Bobby Deol’s upcoming movies

Workwise, the actor has some big projects in his kitty. He is set to make an entry into the YRF spy universe with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha. The film is all set to release in July this year. He is also a part of Ali Abbas Zafar’s romantic thriller with Ahaan Panday. Apart from this, he is a part of Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan. The film’s release is currently in limbo due to CBFC issues.

He is also starring in Amazon Prime Video’s Teen Kauwe. The series is about an ex-secret agent, believed to be dead for seven years, who must return to find the traitor who framed him, while his own agency is trying to terminate him. Sidhant Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pavail Gulati, Ronit Roy, Isha Talwar, Chandni Bainz, and Faisal Malik are also a part of this project.
