CJP Parliament March 2026 Live: Heavy security has been deployed at Jantar Mantar ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party’s proposed march to Parliament on Monday, although a crowd is gathering at the spot. Police personnel were deployed at the spot and a riot control vehicle entered the venue early on Monday. CJP continues its protest at the site demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak and other issues.
The proposed CJP march on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament is yet to get the green signal from Delhi Police, which had refused permission and imposed prohibitory orders in most parts of New Delhi.
Meanwhile, activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike for over 20 days, has put forward conditions on which she will end her fast. Wagchuk has urged the Center to accept responsibility for the recent failures in the education system or give assurance to the Members of Parliament (MPs) that the issue will be raised in Parliament. On Saturday last week, Wangchuk was forcibly picked up from Jantar Mantar by Delhi Police and put in Safdarjung Hospital. The activist has alleged that he is being kept in “illegal detention” at the hospital.
Security arrangements at Jantar Mantar, Section 163 imposed
Heavy security was deployed at the protest site, with barricades placed at the rear (Kerala House) to block one way to reach the protest site. Barricades have been erected on Tolstoy Passage – one of the main entry points to the site – with a small entrance left for people to enter. Police personnel maintained vigil, a riot control vehicle was also seen entering the venue.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sachin Sharma issued a public advisory on Sunday, saying “Delhi Police categorically clarifies that no permission has been sought or given for any such protest march/procession.”

In a handwritten note from Safdarjung Hospital, activist Wangchuk stated three conditions under which he would break his fast. Wangchuk wrote, “Dear friends and supporters, many of you have asked when I will end the fast. As told to supporters earlier, I will end my fast on July 20, if…” He said he would end the fast if “the government takes accountability for the recent failures in the education system – paper leaks etc” or “if the CJP leadership reaches the doors of Parliament where honorable MPs and leaders of various parties assure us that now He will raise this issue in Parliament.” He said that if his health does not permit it, the MP can go to the hospital and give the above assurance.
