Prince Narula is riding high on the success of his recent stint in The 50 and is now back with a brand-new track, Ruffle Dunali. In an exclusive chat, the actor-singer opened up about the song, his musical journey, and why he is consciously moving away from controversy especially as a father.
Prince Narula talks about his song
Calling the track close to his heart, Prince shared, “It’s a very beautiful song. It’s called Ruffle Dunali. This is a song from Nuravi Productions. I have sung and featured in this as a singer and featured.” He added that the song immediately struck a chord with him. “When I heard the song, I really liked it. There were some other lines which could have been controversial, but there are some lines which I have kept, which is the answer for some people.”
Making it clear that he prefers to respond through his craft, he said, “I think you should answer with work and I will answer with work. You can beat anyone in social media because you can’t do it with talent, talent speaks.”
Prince also addressed speculation around controversy, firmly shutting it down. “There will be no controversy from this song. No, not at all. I have come out of the controversy.” Looking ahead, he teased his upcoming projects. “My upcoming 19th album has pop, R and B, hip-hop you will get a lot of versatile things and you will get to hear a lot of good songs. So there are dancing numbers which Yash Kadam is choreographing and my team Mahi Gaurav all of them are producing it. So I am very happy with my work.”
On whether he will show his controversial shows to his daughter
Reflecting on his journey, Prince revealed that music has taken precedence over acting in recent years. “Music has been one of the longest bonds of mine and I think acting is the reality. I have left acting for music. So for four years, I didn’t do acting, I didn’t do any TV show just because people got to know that as a singer, I don’t even sing. People used to think that I come as a model and do modeling. I don’t want to do that.”
On a more personal note, the actor spoke about fatherhood and the kind of content he wants his daughter to consume. “Yes, I will show her better shows. Till then I will do something else. I am making many shows which will motivate people, in which there will be no fights I will show those shows. There will be no fights. I don’t want them to see how aggressive dad is. There were so many controversies.”
With Ruffle Dunali, Prince Narula is not just releasing another song he is marking a shift in his journey, choosing growth, positivity, and purpose over noise.
