Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday rejected the long-held belief that Gautam Buddha Nagar is “cursed”, saying the district has emerged as the country’s biggest investment destination. Speaking after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 70 development projects worth Rs 2,479 crore in Noida and Dadri assembly constituencies, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the new administrative building of the Noida Authority in Sector 96.

“Gautam Buddha Nagar is not cursed. Today, Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority together are emerging as the best investment destination of the country. All three authorities are working at a fast pace. Years of laziness have ended, work culture has changed, the way has been paved for solving the problems of citizens and entrepreneurs. I am confident that this new office will become a new symbol of development. I convey my best wishes to the citizens, farmers, entrepreneurs, public representatives and the authority. After 50, CM Yogi said, “Noida Authority having its own grand office for years is no less than an achievement.”

The Chief Minister also participated in the curtain raiser ceremony of the fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show. During the programme, he distributed toolkits to the beneficiaries of One District One Product (ODOP) and Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, subsidy checks to MSME beneficiaries and recipients under Technology Upgradation Scheme, checks under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan and appreciation certificates to bankers for their performance.

Referring to the superstitions associated with Noida, CM Yogi said, “Before 2017, Gautam Buddha Nagar was considered cursed for the then Chief Ministers. They used to avoid coming here. After I became the Chief Minister in 2017, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was about to come for the inauguration of the Metro, a message came from the Prime Minister’s Office that a minister could be sent to the program because there was a perception that the Chief Minister does not come to Noida.”

“I made it clear that I will personally come to Noida. I don’t believe in such things. The government’s job is to solve people’s problems,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s efforts to resolve long-pending issues in the district, the Chief Minister said the builder-buyer dispute was one of the biggest challenges after his government assumed power.

“The biggest challenge before the government was the builder-buyer dispute. Within a year, our government provided houses to 1.25 lakh buyers. Later when the matter reached the Supreme Court, a high-level committee was formed under the leadership of the CEO of NITI Aayog. By providing necessary facilities, we were successful in ensuring houses for more than 3 lakh buyers. Now that the Noida Authority has its own building, citizens will get better services. The problems of Annadata farmers, entrepreneurs, associations and common citizens will no longer be solved. Will be solved under one roof. If the authority makes all its services online, every activity will be monitored through the Integrated Command and Control Centre.

CM Yogi directed officials to take action against those allottees who acquired land but failed to start the projects.

“Those who have taken land from the authority but have not invested should be issued notices with a fixed timeline. If they still do not invest, new investors should be invited and a new land bank should be created,” he said.

Speaking about the industrial transformation of the state, the Chief Minister said, “There is a lot of difference between the Noida Authority established in the 1970s and the present times. Therefore, decisions should be taken as per the present circumstances. Today wherever you go in Uttar Pradesh, change is visible all around. I congratulate everyone for the grand building of the Noida Authority built at a cost of Rs 390 crore. Today people are experiencing the changed Uttar Pradesh firsthand. Everyone can see the difference between the Uttar Pradesh of 9 years ago and today’s Uttar Pradesh. Is.”

He also highlighted the rapid pace of industrial development in Gautam Buddha Nagar, pointing to the upcoming Jewar International Airport and new investments in electronics and renewable energy.

“Today, the change is clearly visible. I landed at Jewar airport. Domestic commercial flights have started from there, and international flights will start soon. The foundation stone of an electronic component and electronic circuit manufacturing project has been laid with an investment of about Rs 7000 crore. Similarly, the foundation stone of a modern solar cell manufacturing unit has also been laid at a cost of Rs 8200 crore. This will make Gautam Buddha Nagar a major hub of electronics and solar manufacturing. There was a time when this region was the most dangerous It was considered an area. People in the state were afraid to come here after the evening.”

He further said, “Today the same place is witnessing a Film City, Apparel Park, Medical Device Park and huge industrial investments. All this has been possible because the double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has developed the ability to take decisions without stopping, without wavering, without getting tired, without fear and without bowing down.”

On the occasion of International MSME Day, the Chief Minister also emphasized the role of small and medium enterprises in the economic growth of Uttar Pradesh.

“Micro, small and medium enterprises are the biggest strength of any big industry. The dream of a developed India can be realized only when prosperous farmers, world-class infrastructure and strong manufacturing power move forward together. Before 2017, artisans and craftsmen were discouraged in Uttar Pradesh. There was neither market, no design, no technology, nor any support. The government formed a high-level committee and looked into branding, new designs, new technology and connecting them to the market. Made a strategy.”

The Chief Minister further said, “Today ‘One District One Product’ has become the brand of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers it the foundation of self-reliant India. At present, more than 96 lakh MSME units are working in Uttar Pradesh, providing employment to more than 3.25 crore people. Even when the whole world came to a standstill during the Covid period, the MSME sector of Uttar Pradesh continued to work. More than 40 lakh workers returned, but the government did not provide them food, ration and employment. Took responsibility.” An appeal was made to MSME units to provide employment to one or two people, resulting in more than 90 per cent of the workers remaining in the state and now contributing to its development.”

Highlighting the state’s export growth, he said, “The government provided technology, design and common facilities to MSMEs. Today, Uttar Pradesh is exporting products worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore. The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show is being organized frequently at the India Expo Center in Greater Noida, connecting buyers from all over the world with the state’s products. Uttar Pradesh accounts for 55 per cent of India’s total mobile manufacturing and about 60 per cent of electronic component production. It is the state’s new industrial output. Is proof of strength.”

During the programme, the Chief Minister also handed over investment related documents, subsidy cheques, reservation letters, insurance cards, toolkits and appreciation certificates to the beneficiaries, entrepreneurs and bankers, including representatives of TCS, Physics Wala, LG Soft India and DLF.
