It has a glossy polycarbonate back and a plastic frame. It weighs 188 grams and is 7.99 mm thick, making it feel balanced in the hand. The device is available in two finishes: Cyber Blue and Pulse Green, with geometric patterns that reflect light in unique ways. I received the latter for review, and it feels premium in the hand.
One of its defining features is the customizable white LED setup on the back, which reacts to calls, notifications, charging and even music. Users can modify the lighting effects directly from the settings. Additionally, the ‘GT Gaming Trigger’ adds functional versatility, serving as a touch-sensitive shoulder button for in-game actions, shortcuts or media controls.

The punch-hole camera blends in well, and despite the slightly thick bezels, the video and gaming experience remains enjoyable for its segment. Gaming is where this device excels. It is certified to deliver 90 FPS gameplay in BGMI and maintains that level without heating issues thanks to its 5,400 mm² cooling system. BGMI also runs consistently at 90 FPS, while Genshin Impact averages around 39-42 FPS, which is impressive for this segment. The temperature remains under control even after half an hour of gameplay. The Infinx GT Trigger adds a practical advantage for competitive players, allowing customizable controls on popular titles. It also includes helpful features like bypass charging and AI HyperBoost, which help maintain performance during long sessions.
On the software front, the GT 30 5G runs Android 15 out of the box with Infinix’s XOS 15. This version seems cleaner and more organized. It strikes a balance between the simplicity of stock Android and some useful features. You get two major Android updates and three years of security patches. XOS 15 also introduces a dynamic bar for notifications, a modern Control Center, split-screen multitasking, floating windows, and a smart panel for quick actions.

The AI suite integrates multiple tools like AI Eraser, AI Cutout, AI Extender, AI Translate, and even AI Call Summarization, which enhances both productivity and communication. Although heavy multitasking can cause minor jitters, and some transitions lack polish, the overall software experience feels stable and well-optimized for regular use.
Infinix GT 30 5G review: Camera experience
When I started testing the Infinix GT 30 5G, I knew the camera wasn’t meant to steal the show; This is a gaming phone at heart. Still, the 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor manages solid shots in daylight, although night scenes are not its strong point as there is no optical stabilization. The 8MP ultrawide lens works fine for wider shots, while the 13MP selfie camera performs better outdoors than indoors, where it makes faces look smoother.
For video, the rear camera records at 4K30 or 1080p60, with ultrawide limited to 1080p30. Interestingly, the front camera also supports 4K30 and 1080p60/30, which is useful for vlogs. I tried out features like Pro Mode, Cinematic Filter, Dual Video, Time-Lapse, and Slow Motion, each adding a little flexibility without complicating things. Both the front and rear cameras support portrait videos in 1080p30, and although the results are good, I immediately realized that this is not a phone for serious photography. And honestly, it’s perfect for what the goal is.

The 45W fast charger that comes in the box takes the phone from zero to 50% in about half an hour and gets fully charged in less than an hour.
