Supernatural actor Carrie Anne Fleming passes away at 51
Canadian actor Carrie Anne Fleming, best known for her appearances in popular horror television series Supernatural, has died at the age of 51.
Fleming passed away on February 26 in Sidney, British Columbia, following complications from breast cancer. Her death was confirmed by her Supernatural co-star Jim Beaver to Variety.
Born on August 16, 1974, in Digby, Nova Scotia, Fleming grew up in British Columbia, where she pursued her passion for the performing arts.
She attended Mount Douglas Senior Secondary in Victoria and went on to study drama at Kaleidoscope Theatre and the Kidco Theatre Dance Company.
Fleming began her career with a recurring role in the television series Viper and also appeared in the popular Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore.
Over the years, she built a steady body of work, often taking on smaller but memorable roles across film and television.
Her breakthrough in the horror genre came when acclaimed Italian director Dario Argento cast her in the anthology series Masters of Horror in 2005.
In the episode `Jenifer,` Fleming portrayed a disfigured woman with cannibalistic tendencies, a performance that became one of her most recognised roles among genre audiences.
Fleming went on to feature in several horror productions, including Supernatural, where she played Karen Singer, the wife of Bobby Singer.
She also appeared in the television film The Unauthorized Full House Story, portraying the mother of actor Candace Cameron Bure, known for her role as DJ Tanner in the sitcom Full House.
In recent years, Fleming gained renewed popularity for her recurring role as Candy Baker on the CW series iZombie, where she appeared over five seasons.
Beyond screen work, she remained active in theatre, performing in British Columbia stage productions such as Noises Off, Romeo and Juliet, Steel Magnolias, and Fame.
Fleming is survived by her daughter, Madalyn Rose (Max). As per Variety, a memorial service is expected to be announced at a later date.

Atletico`s Antoine Griezmann likely to sign with Orlando City
French and Atletico Madrid footballer Antoine Griezmann is reportedly likely to sign with Major League Soccer (MLS) club Orlando City, eyeing a move to US this summer, reported Goal.com.
As per a report by The Athletic, as quoted by Goal.com, Griezmann, a 2018 FIFA World Cup winner with France, has been officially permitted to travel to the US to seal the deal after being linked to the club for the past few weeks.
Reports had earlier emerged that Griezmann would consider leaving the Spanish club for a move to the US at the end of February, but their qualification for the Copa Del Ray final delayed his switch. The final against Real Sociedad is scheduled for April 19, and the veteran wants to leave the club with some silverware to his name.
Griezmann wants to seal the deal despite the primary transfer window of MLS being closed officially. He would move to North America at the end of the European football season if everything goes right.
The 35-year-old has openly made it clear that he intends to play in MLS, as he is a massive fan of American sports. He has often been pictured attending NBA basketball matches and been linked with other MLS clubs in the past, including LAFC, Chicago Fire, and, briefly, Inter Miami.
Griezmann being present would immediately make him amongst the best players as the French captain has scored 44 goals for the national side, won the 2018 World Cup and ended as runners-up in 2022.

Singer Ronnie Bowman dies at 64 after motorcycle accident
Singer Ronnie Bowman, best known for co-writing songs recorded by top country stars like Chris Stapleton, Kenny Chesney and George Strait, is no more. He passed away on Sunday at the age of 64.
As per Billboard, Bowman suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident in Ashland City, Tennessee, on Saturday, and unfortunately, the following afternoon, he breathed his last.
Mourning his demise, Bowman`s family in a statement said, “Ronnie was beloved by so many in our music community, whom he loved so dearly. We are beyond grateful for all of the love & outpouring toward us already. Right now, as we process, we just covet your prayers. We have no words at this time, but thank you and graciously request that you honor our privacy while we try to put our heads around this and grieve.”
After learning about his death, musician-songwriter-producer John Carter Cash, son of Country Music Hall of Famer Johnny Cash, paid his condolences via a post on Instagram.
“All my love goes out to family of the.ronnie.bowman Ronnie was a friend and an amazing vocalist and musician. Love to all,” he posted.
Bowman began performing music at age three, first as part of a family band and then joining the bluegrass band Lost & Found. He soon joined The Lonesome River Band, serving as the group`s vocalist/bass player from 1990-2001, and performed on the band`s album Carrying The Tradition, which was named album of the year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 1991.
He recorded four albums as part of The Lonesome River Band and recorded five solo albums, including Cold Virginia Night, which was named album of the year by the IBMA

The domestic share markets opened on a positive note on Tuesday, taking a breather from recent selling pressure, with both benchmark indices registering strong gains in early trade. However, market volatility remained high amid ongoing uncertainty linked to the Strait of Hormuz.
The Nifty 50 opened at 22,878.45, gaining 365.80 points or 1.62 per cent, while the BSE Sensex surged by 1,516.08 points or 2.09 per cent to open at 74,212.47.
Market experts noted that despite the recovery, uncertainty continues to weigh on investor sentiment.
Ajay Bagga, banking and market expert, told ANI, “Someone making hay as the world is still not out of the woods, sorry, scratch that, make it, The World is Still Not Out of the Strait of Hormuz. Massive volatility based on social media posts that are promptly denied by adversaries and then blustering rebuttals are made, all the while someone is making huge profits by taking positions ahead of market-moving social media posts and announcements.”
He further added that global cues remain mixed. “This morning Asian markets have given up some of their opening gains, oil is slightly up, US dollar is stronger, gold and silver are falling as they have for the past 25 days, and US stock futures are negative 0.4 per cent. It was so wonderful to see Gift Nifty up 800 points plus last night but it is now up around 350 points versus last afternoon’s market close in India,” he said.

Nifty Auto surged more than 2 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank gained 2.40 per cent, Nifty IT rose 1.46 per cent, Nifty FMCG increased 1.44 per cent, Nifty Metal jumped 2.31 per cent, Nifty Pharma advanced 1.15 per cent, and Nifty Private Bank gained 1.62 per cent.
In other Asian markets, a positive trend was observed. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index rose by 0.75 per cent to 51920, Singapore’s Straits Times gained 0.13 per cent to 4849, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index increased 1.75 per cent to 24797, Taiwan’s Weighted index remained flat at 32697, and South Korea’s KOSPI index surged more than 2 per cent to 5522.
US markets also ended higher on Monday. The Dow Jones rallied by 1.38 per cent to close at 46208, the S&P 500 gained 1.15 per cent to 6581, and the Nasdaq rose by 1.38 per cent to 21946.
Krunal Pandya sets sights on more IPL success with RCB: Just the beginning
RCB all-rounder Krunal Pandya played a key role in the franchise’s maiden IPL title triumph in 2025 with a series of clutch performances. However, he is not satisfied and is already targeting more success with the Virat Kohli-starrer side in the upcoming season.
Krunal was the Player of the Match in the IPL opener last year and went on to cap the campaign with another POTM award in the final, helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru end their 18-year wait for a title. In the process, he became the only player to win Player of the Match awards in two IPL finals, having first achieved the feat in 2017 during Mumbai Indians’ title-winning run.
The 2025 season was the best of his IPL career. Krunal finished as the top finger spinner in the tournament and recorded his personal-best bowling figures. He picked up 17 wickets, the second most for RCB after Josh Hazlewood’s 22, and established himself as a key option in pressure situations.
“Feels really good that whatever I said in 2022 has come out exactly the way I said it. After 17 years of drought, and then in the 18th season, RCB winning the trophy and me being part of it – I had a decent, tiny contribution to their success – can’t ask for more than this. Going forward, I’m still hungry. I feel like this is just the beginning,” Krunal Pandya told ESPNcricinfo.
Krunal also credited RCB spin-bowling coach Malolan Rangarajan for backing his approach and encouraging him to expand his bowling, including using the bouncer as an option. He comes into IPL 2026 after his best season in the tournament and has more weapons in his bowling arsenal than ever before.
“Agreed. I’ll give a lot of credit to Malolan. What happens as a player is, sometimes you know certain things will work for you but he gave me so much validity, and he pushed me [into] doing that. He encouraged me to bowl slow and go for wickets, to bowl the bouncer. He said if you feel like it, you bowl a bouncer.”
“He backed me and trusted my understanding of the game to that level where it was like, you do whatever you want to do, don’t back [out],” Krunal added.
RCB will begin their IPL 2026 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, with Krunal looking to build on what he believes is just the start of a successful phase.
