Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan recently reunited after a long time for their latest horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla, which hit the screens on April 17. Although the film received a mixed response from critics, the horror-comedy struck a chord with a section of the audience, who seemed to enjoy the film in theatres after a really long time. According to recent reports, the positive reception has encouraged makers to consider creating a sequel.

Bhooth Bangla 2 on the cards?

According to an IndiaToday report, a source close to development told the portal, “Given the love and response that Bhooth Bangla has received from families, the makers are definitely exploring the idea of taking the franchise forward. It’s an exciting space, and thus a sequel looks very much on the cards.” Although the project is still in its early stages, the source added that due to Ekta Kapoor‘s interest in the horror-comedy space, she is looking at a world to revisit with more stories.

Izabelle commented under the post with a tired face emoji. She also wrote, “it’s been 12 years , and counting. why can’t people get over it (woman bowing emoji).”

For the unversed, Izabelle and Virat reportedly dated from 2012 to 2014 before he met Anushka. At a press meet for her film Purani Jeans in 2014, the actor was asked about Virat dating Anushka. She replied, “That’s not the reason that I am here now. And, I’m really excited for my movie, and that’s all I have to talk about. From now to first May, first June or whatever. I have nothing to talk about Virat Kohli anymore.” Izabelle is now married and living in Doha, Qatar, with her husband and two children.

Izabelle was last seen in the 2019 Telugu film Mr Majnu and the 2020 film World Famous Lover. She has yet to announce any more projects.

Anushka and Virat dated for a few years before marrying in 2017. Their daughter, Vamika, was born in 2021, and their son, Akaay, was born in 2024. Anushka was last seen in the 2018 Shah Rukh Khan co-starrer Zero. She played a cameo in the 2022 Netflix film Qala. Her sports drama Chakda ‘Xpress remains unreleased. She has yet to announce any upcoming projects.

Deepika and Ranveer began dating in 2012 when they met on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The couple married in 2018 in Italy in the presence of their loved ones. Their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, was born in 2024.

Ranveer will soon star in a zombie film named Pralay, which has yet to be officially announced. Deepika has King in Hindi with Shah Rukh Khan and Raaka in Telugu with Allu Arjun lined up. Much like her previous films, the actor is shooting Raaka while pregnant.
