Amid the second pregnancy, Deepika continues to stay committed to her work. Director Punit Malhotra recently dropped a picture with the actress on Instagram from a shoot. The picture soon went viral among the netizens as it marked Deepika’s first glimpse since the pregnancy announcement.

“I think pollution has been something we’ve needed to address for a long time. But air pollution, especially, feels particularly urgent in the times we live in—because of the significant impact it has on public health, the many loss of lives it has been linked to, and the threat it poses to economic activity,” says the actor.

Personally, she is making changes to her own life of an artist by choosing sustainable fashion.

“Since fashion is often argued to be one of the big pollutants, I began consciously wearing more sustainable brands. But I realised that just reading a “sustainable” label wasn’t enough. So I started trying to understand what actually goes into making fabric in a sustainable way, and then how I can be more sustainable about the way I care for my clothes,” says Rasika, adding that she tries to stay more curious and conscious than earlier.

The actor who will be seen in Mirzapur The Film and Kartavya, shares her thoughts on the role of cinema in helping heal Earth.

“I don’t believe that films have to come with visible messaging…You can have an intention as a filmmaker but your audience will take from it something of their own and that is the beauty of filmmaking or any art,” she says, listing Shaunak Sen’s Academy Award nominated with All That Breathes’ as one of the most impactful film advocating earth and all beings.

Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan recently reunited after a long time for their latest horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla, which hit the screens on April 17. According to an IndiaToday report, a source close to development told the portal, “Given the love and response that Bhooth Bangla has received from families, the makers are definitely exploring the idea of taking the franchise forward. It’s an exciting space, and thus a sequel looks very much on the cards.” Although the project is still in its early stages, the source added that due to Ekta Kapoor‘s interest in the horror-comedy space, she is looking at a world to revisit with more stories.
