Multiple fans praised the singer’s drastic weight loss through a consistent diet and workout, as the singer had previously shut down rumours of using Ozempic. She’s been documenting her fitness and healthy eating journey this whole time,” said a fan. “Such a beautiful soul you have came so far !! And I appreciate you so much, you’ve given me my confidence as well,” read a comment.

On Ozempic rumours

Earlier this year in September, Lizzo had shut down allegations of using Ozempic to lose weight. She shared a short reel on Instagram and at the bottom added the text: “When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.” This was followed by a screenshot of a user’s comment who accused her of using ozempic or “coke”. The comment read, “Did she use ozempic or did she snort coke” to which the grammy winner replied, “Whyyyy do you follow me?” along with crying face emojis.

Lizzo had earlier talked about losing weight in an interview with The New York Times in March. “I don’t really see it because if anyone who’s on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don’t really notice it until you notice it,” she said.

Intel Core 14th Gen Unlocked Desktop CPUs Launched: All Details


Intel has launched its latest 14th Gen Core desktop processor family, codenamed Raptor Lake-S Refresh. This is led by the Intel Core i9-14900K. This new desktop processor family includes six new unlocked desktop processors, which deliver up to 24 cores and 32 threads, and up to 6GHz of frequency right out of the box. Additionally, the Intel Core i7-14700K arrives with 20 cores and 28 threads thanks to four more efficiency cores compared to the prior generation. Intel’s Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) now features the new AI Assist feature, bringing one-click AI-guided overclocking to select unlocked Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors. The new processors will be available at retail outlets and via OEM partner systems starting October 17, 2023.

At the top of the Intel 14th Gen desktop processor stack is the Core i9-14900K. It boasts of 25 percent more cores than the Core i7-14700K, and is compatible with existing 600 (with maybe a BIOS update) or 700-series motherboards. Intel is targeting hardcore gamers and performance enthusiasts with this chip. It also features 36MB of L3 cache, max turbo frequency of up to 5.6GHz for the P-cores and up to 4.4GHz on the E-cores, and Intel UHD Graphics 770 onboard. There’s also a Core i9-14900KF which has the exact same specs but without the onboard graphics.

Next up are the Intel Core i7 models, which include the i7-14700K and the i7-14700KF (without iGPU). Both models feature a total of 20 CPU cores, 33MB of L3 cache, and similar turbo frequencies as the Core i9 models. Interestingly, the Core i7 models have a higher base frequency of 3.4GHz and 2.5GHz (P and E cores respectively) compared to the i9 models.

Finally, we have the two Core i5 models, which include the Core i5-14600K and Core i5-14600KF. Both feature 14 cores in total (6P+8E) and 24MB of L3 cache. The Core i9 models are the only ones to support the Intel Thermal Velocity Boost Frequency of up to 6GHz. The Core i7 models feature Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, while the Core i5 models don’t support either technology.

Intel’s latest desktop processor family comes equipped with integrated support for Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as discrete support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless technologies. Additionally, the processors include support for Thunderbolt 4 as well as upcoming Thunderbolt 5 wired connectivity, which promises speeds of up to 80Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth.

Roger Chandler, Intel VP and GM for Enthusiast PC and Workstation, Client Computing Group, commented on the launch, “Since the introduction of our performance hybrid architecture, Intel has consistently raised the bar for desktop performance. An advocate representing major social media platforms said the possibly upcoming laws which ban children in Australia under the age of 16 from accessing the sites should be delayed till next year at least, news agency AP reported.

The advocate was Sunita Bose, managing director of Digital Industry Group Inc., representing social media platforms in Australia including X (Formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Bose was answering questions at a single-day Senate committee hearing into the world’s first legislation, which was introduced in parliament last week, said parliament should first wait for the government-commissioned evaluation of age assurance technologies set to be completed in June.

“Parliament is asked to pass a bill this week without knowing how it will work,” the report quoted Bose as saying.

She referred to the legislation which if passed by parliament by Thursday, would lead to fines of up to 50 million Australian dollars ($33 million) on the platforms if they fail to prevent young children from having accounts.

When opposition Senator Ross Cadell asked how his 10-year-old stepson was able to have Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube accounts from the age of 8 despite an age limit of 13, Bose said,“This is an area where the industry needs to improve,” adding that it would take a year to work out solutions for this.

Bose added that the ban risked isolating children and even driving some to “darker, less safe online spaces” which “could compromise the safety of young people.”

Senator Sarah Henderson said, “that’s an outrageous statement. You’re trying to protect the big tech giants.”

When asked about children being exposed to harmful material, Bose said algorithms were already in place to protect young people online with functions such as filtering out nudity.

Bose also said she was unaware of how much advertising revenue the platforms made from Australian children.

Neolithic Stone Circles Discovered in England Could Solve the Stonehenge Mystery: Report


Two newly discovered Neolithic stone circles have reportedly been identified in Dartmoor, England, possibly forming part of a 5-mile-long “sacred arc” of ancient monuments. Independent archaeologist Alan Endacott, who made the discovery, told a publication that these stone structures reflect the cultural significance of the uplands during the New Stone Age. The finds, dated to roughly 5,000 years ago, are thought to be contemporary with Stonehenge and indicate extensive construction activity in the region during that period.

The ‘Irishman’s Wall’ Site

Endacott, pursuing a doctorate in archaeology at the University of Exeter, has been surveying Dartmoor’s moorland for decades, as per a Live Science report. Using magnetic gradiometry and resistivity tools, he reportedly confirmed the locations earlier this year. Excavations took place between September and October, revealing key details about the circles’ construction.

One of the sites, named “Metheral,” comprises about 20 stones, many of which are now overgrown or toppled. This circle is estimated to measure 40 metres by 33 metres and mirrors the dimensions and design elements seen at Stonehenge.

Approximately one mile from Metheral lies the second circle, dubbed “Irishman’s Wall.” This site is reportedly less intact, with only six visible stones. Subsurface analysis helped identify the structure’s outline. Endacott told the publication that this circle may have marked an entrance to what prehistoric people regarded as a sacred area.

A Larger Archaeological Landscape

The Metheral circle is positioned at the northernmost point of a crescent of eight known stone circles, which stretch southward over five miles. Endacott’s earlier discoveries, such as the Sittaford Tor circle, support the hypothesis that this arc was part of a larger ceremonial complex. Independent archaeologist Tom Greeves described the findings as significant, noting the evidence of Neolithic activity on Dartmoor, in an interview with Live Science. Susan Greaney from the University of Exeter reportedly added that these discoveries underscore the area’s importance in prehistoric culture and point to the possibility of further findings.

Dartmoor remains an area rich in Neolithic heritage, with its open uplands and extensive archaeological sites continuing to reveal insights into ancient practices.

Mumbai: Dancing diva and actress Malaika Arora has finally revealed her current relationship status with a hilarious cryptic post on social media. 

Malaika took to Instagram stories, where she shared a meme which read: “My relationship status right now”.

It had the options of: “In a relationship, single and hehehe” written on it. However, it was the third option marked “hehehe”.


The post comes after Malaika and her former beau Arjun Kapoor chose to go separate ways. The two started dating in 2018. However, had never openly spoken about their relationship.

However, the couple used to share romantic pictures from their getaways and birthday wishes.

The actress had earlier shared a post about happiness, which read: “A secret to happiness is to be as weird as you like and the wrong people will leave the party but the right ones will join the dance.”

In other news, Malaika Arora last week revealed that she is working on something special, which is going to be an ode to her late father, Anil Kuldeep Mehta, who passed away in September.

Reflecting on her journey, Malaika shared: “We all need to keep moving forward… that’s what my father would have wanted for me. I’m grateful for the time I took to process the loss. It wasn’t easy, but it’s important to give ourselves space to heal.

“Coming back to work helps me stay focused, balance my mental health, and gives me the clarity to take care of my mother and family. I’m thrilled about the brands I’m working with and excited to explore my creative side. I’m also working on something special that I will announce soon—it’s going to be an ode to my father,” she added.

Anil Mehta fell from the 6th floor of his residence in the Ayesha Manor building in the Bandra area of Mumbai at around 9:00 am on Wednesday while the actress was on her way to Pune for an event.

Microsoft will not raise salaries for full-time employees this year and is reducing budget for bonuses and stock awards, Insider reported on Wednesday, citing an internal email by CEO Satya Nadella.

The tech giant did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

“Last year, we made a significant investment in compensation driven by market conditions and company performance, nearly doubling our global merit budget…this year the economic conditions are very different across many dimensions” the report quoted Nadella saying.

In January, Microsoft said it would let go of 10,000 workers, adding to the tens of thousands layoffs announced before that across the technology sector as it deals with slowing growth in a turbulent economy.

Microsoft has now squarely placed its focus on generative AI, an area the industry sees as a bright spot.

In collaboration with ChatGPT maker OpenAI, which also has received billions of dollars in funding from Microsoft, the tech giant has been infusing the AI tech into its Office products as well as search engine Bing.

Last week, Microsoft expanded public access to its generative artificial intelligence programs, despite fears that tech firms are rushing ahead too quickly with potentially dangerous technology.

In March this year, it was reported that Microsoft-owned GitHub laid off 142 people in India, including the entire staff in its engineering division. Those affected by the decision were deployed across the company’s offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi. A GitHub spokesperson termed the decision as a part of the company’s reorganisation plan.

Vivo Y28s 5G price now starts in India at Rs. 13,499 for the 4GB option, while the 6GB and 8GB variants are listed at Rs. 14,999 and Rs, 16,499, respectively. The phone comes with 128GB of built-in storage. It is offered in Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple shades and is available via Flipkart and the Vivo India e-store.

At launch, the 4GB option of the Vivo Y28s 5G was priced at Rs. 13,999, while the 6GB and 8GB versions were respectively priced at Rs. 15,499 and Rs. 16,999.

Vivo Y28s 5G Specifications, Features

The Vivo Y28s 5G sports a 6.56-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 840 nits of high brightness level. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 onboard storage. It ships with Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.

In the camera department, the Vivo Y28s 5G comes with a dual rear camera unit, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor. The smartphone carries an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. 

The Vivo Y28s 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging support via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and Wi-Fi. For security, the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

HP has upgraded its lineup of Pavilion Plus laptops in India with newer CPU and GPU options. Targeting a younger demography of users, the HP Pavilion Plus 14 and the HP Pavilion Plus 16 now feature up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics onboard. The 14-inch variant of the notebook is available in 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and up to an AMD Ryzen 7 7840H processor configurations. Meanwhile, the 16-inch HP Pavilion Plus laptop now gets up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.

Both laptops sport IMAX-enhanced displays for immersive visuals and pack AI features for productivity. The AI-powered HP Presence 2.0 feature brings the ability to blur backgrounds on video calls, adjust lighting, retain focus, and correct skin tones.

HP Pavilion Plus 14 and HP Pavilion Plus 16 price in India, availability

The HP Pavilion Plus 14 laptop starts at a price of Rs. 91,999, while the HP Pavilion Plus 16 variant comes in at the starting price of Rs. 1,24,999. The Pavilion Plus 14 laptop will be available in Moonlight Blue and Natural Silver colour options at launch, while the Pavilion Plus 16 notebook comes in Warm Gold and Natural Silver colourways.

The 14-inch variant of HP’s updated Pavilion Plus lineup sports an IMAX enhanced 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 88 percent screen-to-body-ratio, and 16:10 aspect ratio. The display features peak SDR brightness of 400nits and HDR brightness of 500nits.

It is now powered by an Intel Core i7 1355U processor or up to an AMD Ryzen 7 7840H processor, paired with up to 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The laptop runs Windows 11 Home out-of-the-box and comes with a 5-megapixel webcam.

Connectivity options on the Pavilion Plus 14 laptop include Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (2×2) and Bluetooth 5.3. The laptop packs a 68Wh battery that supports fast charging. The laptop comes with one Thunderbolt 4 with USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an HDMI 2.1 port. The laptop measures 31.4 x 22.7 x 1.75 cm in size and weighs 1.44 kg.

HP Pavilion Plus 16 specifications

This Windows Home 11-powered laptop features a WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) IPS display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of peak brightness, and 89.74 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop is powered by up to Intel Core i7-13700H processor, paired with 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe TLC M.2 SSD storage, and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics. The laptop also gets a 5-megapixel webcam with a privacy shutter.

Connectivity options include Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (2×2) and Bluetooth 5.3. The laptop includes one Thunderbolt 4 with USB Type-C power delivery port, 1 USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, an AC smart pin, and an HDMI 2.1 port. The laptop comes with dual speakers from Bang & Olufsen.

The HP Pavilion Plus 16 packs a 68Wh battery with a claimed fast charging capability of approximately 50 percent in 30 minutes. HP claims the laptop has up to 15 hours and 45 minutes of battery life with full-HD video playback.

The HP laptop measures 14.06 x 9.98 x 0.7(front) – 0.78(hinge) inches in size and weighs approximately 1.9 kg.

We never felt the void of Dad not being around. I think at the end of the day after work, you come home at night,” he said.
