OnePlus 13 will be unveiled in China on October 31, and the smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. After plenty of leaks and rumours, OnePlus has revealed a benchmark result of the phone, giving us an idea of how the successor to the OnePlus 12 performs on synthetic tests. It is confirmed to feature up to 24GB RAM and a maximum of 1TB of storage. Additionally, the purported Geekbench resulsts of the OnePlus 13 have also surfaced online, with impressive single- and multi-core scores.

OnePlus 13 AnTuTu Benchmark Results Revealed

After confirming that the OnePlus 13 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the Chinese brand revealed that the upcoming smartphone has received 3,094,447 points on the AnTuTu benchmark test. This score is higher than the leaked AnTuTu benchmark score of the Realme GT 7 Pro that recently surfaced online.

The OnePlus 13 will be available with up to 24GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It will come with a 9925 sq. mm 10,000-level vapour chamber for thermal management. It will feature an aerospace grade aluminium middle frame and 14 heat dissipation temperature detection sensors. The new phone is claimed to deliver a 119.92fps average frame rate while playing the Honor of Kings.

OnePlus 13 Geekbench Scores (Leaked)

Meanwhile, tipsters have shared purported Geekbench test results of the OnePlus 13 with impressive scores, thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. As per the post by tipster Whylab, the device scored 3,170 points in the single-core test and 9,905 points in the multi-core test.

Another test shared by Tech Info (@techinfosocials) suggests 3,238 single-core points and 10,125 multi-core points.

The OnePlus 13 will be launched in China on October 31 at 4:00pm local time (1:30pm IST). It is confirmed to be available in Black Obsidian Secret Realm, Blues Moment, and White Dew Morning Dawn (translated from Chinese) colour options. The handset will run on ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15, and offer 50W wireless charging support.

The OnePlus 13 is expected to have an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It could sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and pack a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 main sensor, according to recent reports.

Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 for business on Thursday (March 21). The latest PC lineup has been called “the first Surface AI PCs built exclusively for business” by the company. Since these are aimed at the tech giant’s commercial clients, they will not be sold directly to consumers. The devices retain the same design as their predecessors, however, both Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 feature the latest Intel Core Ultra chipsets, new Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capabilities, and a dedicated Copilot key.

Microsoft Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 price, availability

The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 price starts at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 99,950) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage variant with the Intel Core Ultra 5 chipset. The most expensive variant with 64GB RAM, 1TB inbuilt storage, and the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor comes at the price of $2,799 (roughly Rs. 2,33,300).

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 6 also starts at the price of $1,199 (roughly Rs. 99,950) for the base variant with the Intel Core Ultra 5 SoC, 8GB RAM, and 256GB inbuilt storage. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor variant with 64GB RAM and 1TB inbuilt storage is priced at $299 (roughly Rs. 2,50,000). Both the Surface devices come in Black and Platinum colour options. Businesses can order the PCs via Microsoft’s commercial store. The devices will be shipped starting April 9.

Microsoft Surface Pro 10, Surface Laptop 6 specifications

The Surface Pro 10 features a 13-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Microsoft claims that the display is now 33 percent brighter and has an anti-reflective coating to reduce glares. It is equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 135U and Core Ultra 7 165U processors, and the Intel AI Boost NPU. The device comes with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB 1TB Gen 4 SSD inbuilt storage.

Video and audio calling on the Surface Pro 10 has also been upgraded with the addition of a front-facing webcam with a 114-degree ultrawide 1440p sensor. The webcam also supports AI-powered Windows Studio Effects. There is also a dedicated Copilot button next to the spacebar. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, and NFC. It also gets two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 and a Surface Connect port for charging.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 6 comes in two display variants of 13.5-inch and 15-inch. Both are IPS LCD panels with touchscreen and are protected by Corning gorilla glass 5. These display panels also get an anti-reflective coating. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 5 135U and Core Ultra 7 165U processors paired with up to 64GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB Gen 4 SSD inbuilt storage, just like the Surface 10 Pro. It is also equipped with the new NPU.

Webcam on the Surface Laptop 6 has been upgraded to a 1080p sensor which supports Windows Studio Effects. For connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The 13.5-inch variant gets one USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 4, one USB Type-A 3.1 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and the Surface Connect. The 15-inch variant gets all of these and an additional USB-C port. Select models of the larger display variant also include a built-in smartcard reader.

Lenovo Group Ltd. hiked its projection for global PC shipments in 2025 after posting better-than-expected earnings, saying AI features will help boost growth next year.

The overall PC market will expand in the current quarter, Lenovo’s Chief Executive Officer Yang Yuanqing told Bloomberg News after earnings on Friday. He raised his outlook for global shipments in 2025 to double-digit percentage growth, up from a previous forecast of five percent to 10 percent, citing demand for AI PCs and the replacement cycle facilitated by Windows 11. 

Yang added that Lenovo is not particularly disadvantaged against its key competitors if US President-elect Donald Trump decides to slap tariffs on foreign goods after formally returning to the White House. 

Net income grew 44 percent to $358.5 million (roughly Rs. 3,027 crore) in the September quarter, Beijing-based Lenovo said in a filing on Friday. That compares with an average estimate of $343.3 million (roughly Rs. 2,899 crore). Revenue rose 24 percent to $17.85 billion (roughly Rs. 1,50,738 crore), also exceeding analyst projections. 

The company’s quarterly PC shipments climbed three percent from a year ago, according to industry researcher IDC, while rivals like Dell Technologies Inc. and Apple Inc. saw declines. “The market is taking a breather before going into the year-end buying period,” said Bryan Ma, vice president at IDC.

PC makers are making a big push this year to add artificial intelligence capabilities — with a helping hand from Windows maker Microsoft Corp. — in a bid to entice consumers into an upgrade cycle. As the industry bounces back from the troughs of recent years, the reception to this new crop of AI PCs will be crucial to future success. The mass market’s interest for such devices, which have higher price tags, still remains to be tested. 

Lenovo’s AI bet is not limited to end-user devices. The company’s infrastructure solutions group, which sells servers to large-scale customers, is another key pillar of its investment into the nascent technology. Lenovo sees that division powering growth by delivering data center hardware that helps accelerate AI model training and computations. 

“Lenovo’s data center segment could grow substantially on AI server order wins and improving supply of Nvidia’s GPUs, though profitability may remain subdued”, Bloomberg Intelligence analysts Steven Tseng and Sean Chen wrote in a report ahead of the earnings release.

The Elder Scrolls VI is now in early development, Bethesda has confirmed. Speaking to Spanish publication Vandal, Bethesda’s Head of Publishing Pete Hines confirmed that while the hype for Starfield draws ever so close, some developers at the studio have been working on the Tamriel fantasy sequel, which has now left the pre-production stage. Both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 were revealed at the 2018 E3 event, with the former sci-fi RPG being way ahead in the release pipeline. For now, Bethesda is fully focused on its launch and potential post-launch support, and therefore, it’ll be at least a few years before we hear any new details about TES 6.

“We have put all of our studio’s focus on making this game the best it can be,” Hines said in the interview (translation from a ResetEra post). “And yes, there are people working on The Elder Scrolls VI, but this is what the studio has focused on. So no, you are not going to hear early about The Elder Scrolls 6.” The timeline matches Xbox head Phil Spencer’s testimony during Microsoft’s trial against the US FTC in June, where he claimed that the game was at least five plus years away and that he wasn’t sure of what platforms it would be out on. Clearly, PC and Xbox would be the main platforms, considering Microsoft had acquired Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax for a $7.5 billion (about Rs. 61,990 crore) deal in 2020.

However, Spencer’s statement also makes it seem as if The Elder Scrolls 6 might not launch on the Xbox Series S/X. During the same trial, Microsoft stated that the next generation of gaming consoles — both from them and Sony — should be out in 2028, which kind of aligns with the time Spencer claims TES 6 will be ready. “It’s the same team that’s finishing Starfield, which comes out this September,” he said during the hearing.

The Xbox Series S has already been causing issues for developers due to its technical limitations — a recent example being Baldur’s Gate 3, where developer Larian Studios is struggling to include split-screen co-op on the less-expensive console. The Xbox version is slated to launch sometime later this year.

Coming back to The Elder Scrolls 6, Bethesda has been pretty tight-lipped about details, with a 2021 interview revealing that it will be using the overhauled Creation Engine 2 for development. The same engine is used for the upcoming Starfield game, which has recently been subject to drama due to some leaks that caused fans to be concerned about its scope in exploration and any possible invisible walls. As per director Todd Howard, the game is best described as ‘Skyrim in space’ and happens to be Bethesda’s first new universe in 25 years, taking you on a futuristic journey to explore 2330 outer space, its planets, and inhabitants. From humble beginnings as a space miner, the player will join Constellation — the last group of space explorers seeking rare artefacts throughout the galaxy.

Currently, there is no solid release window for The Elder Scrolls VI. Meanwhile, Starfield is out September 6 on PC and Xbox Series S/X.

Oppo Find X8 series will be launched on October 24 in China and the brand continues to tease details about its upcoming handset on Weibo, the country’s microblogging website. Oppo recently revealed the display, camera, battery and charging details of the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. The vanilla model is confirmed to house a 5,630mAh battery, while the Pro model will carry a 5,910mAh battery. Additionally, Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro appeared in the AI-Benchmark test with top scores with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC.

The Chinese smartphone brand has confirmed that the Oppo Find X8 Pro will feature a dual-periscope telephoto lens with AI support. One is designed to capture distant landscapes and the other handles portrait shots. Oppo’s product manager has also shared camera samples on the microblogging platform. 

A listing on Oppo’s China website reveals that both Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will include AI features, and can be charged at 80W (wired) and 50W (wireless). The vanilla model is confirmed to feature a 6.59-inch display and 5,630mAh battery, while the Pro model sports a 6.78-inch screen and 5,910mAh battery.

The Oppo Find X8 is 7.85mm thick and weighs 193g, while the Pro model is thicker at 8.24mm and weighs 215g.

Oppo Find X8 Series Tops AI Benchmark

An AI-Benchmark test (via 91Mobiles) reveals that the Oppo Find X8 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC scored 10,319 points, placing it firmly at the top of the performance rankings. The Oppo Find X8 is in second place with 10,225 points.

The Vivo X200 Pro powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset is at the third sport. The Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro Mini are in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

Oppo had already announced that the launch of new Find X series phones will take place on October 24 in China. The launch event will begin at 7:00pm local time (4:30pm IST).
