Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has now slammed the leak, indirectly calling the CBFC responsible.

After the CBFC raised objections to some of the film’s content, the makers moved court. The matter is sub judice, and hence, the film’s release is stalled. Now, amid that delay, the film has been leaked online.

Talking about the leak, Kamal Haasan took to X (formerly Twitter), and wrote, “The leak of #Jananayagan is not an accident – it is the result of systemic failure. Had due process been timely, we would not be here. Inordinate delays in certification created fertile ground for piracy. When legal access is stalled, illegitimate channels take over.”
Kamal, one of the most successful and acclaimed actors from Tamil cinema, said piracy is ‘beyond politics’ and it impacts the livelihoods of many working in the industry. “Piracy is beyond politics; it is an attack on the art and artist itself. It endangers the work of hundreds of artists and technicians, and the investments of honest tax-paying producers, exhibitors and theatre owners, all who sustain the cinema we love,” the actor wrote.

Facing Mohammed Shami in a high-stakes semifinal, Connolly was tested in conditions that demand precision and composure. It was relentless, and on that day, it proved a step too far.
He was outdone. Outclassed. But not undone. What has followed since has been far more telling.
There are signs of growth now. For the Punjab Kings this season, Connolly has begun to make those moments count.

For Connolly, the connection runs deeper. Marsh was among the players he looked up to growing up.
“Some people say the cover drive, but I think his was a little more elegant. I did love watching him bat, had so much time, just played the game on his terms, and that’s why I appreciate him, and that’s some sort of way I want to play my game,” Cooper Connolly spoke on JioStar Press Room
“Looking forward, there’s a lot of cricket to go, and I’m sure I’ll touch base with him at some point,” he added.
Connolly’s path is slightly different. Already part of the national squad, a strong IPL season offers him the chance to show the full extent of his value on a global stage.
“Obviously, when you’re with a team, you want to leave something behind; hopefully, it’s an IPL trophy this year. But it’s about just playing my role and putting my best foot forward for this team,” he said.
The answer reflects a clear understanding of his place within the group.
At a stage where most are still trying to define themselves, Connolly’s sense of role already feels grounded.
He said, “Whether it’s on or off the field, just try to be a good person. When the opportunity arises, hopefully I can win some games for this team; if not, how can I support the team and the guys that are doing really well?”
“Just be the best bloke possible.”
He does not dismiss the idea of legacy entirely.
“Obviously, you want to win IPL trophies; that’s something that everyone wants to win. Yeah, leaving a legacy is quite nice, but those names that you mentioned, they’re some world-class players, and I have a lot of work to do to catch up to them,” Connolly said.
For now, that perspective holds.

If the past has shown anything, it is that seasons like these can shape far more than just a campaign. For Connolly, the opportunity is there to build something of his own.

The pitch came after similar calls from two Tata Trusts vice chairmen, and as RBI proposed draft classification norms for upper-layer NBFCs. Mistry himself pushed for public listing in Oct 2025 as well. Mistry, chairman of the Shapoorji Pallonji (SP) Group and brother-in-law of Tata Trusts chairman Noel Tata, argued that the listing would “reinforce corporate governance, deepen transparency and accountability.” He added that no “clear, evidence-based case” has been made to show how going public would “materially damage the interests of the trusts or reduce their ability to serve beneficiaries.” SP, which has an 18.4% shareholding in Tata Sons, has pledged its entire stake as collateral to refinance debt of Rs 55,000-60,000 crore. A listing would help ease SP’s financial pressures. This is the second time Mistry has publicly pushed for a Tata Sons listing, following a similar call in Oct 2025 amid governance disputes at Tata Trusts and after Tata Sons missed the RBI’s Sept 30, 2025 listing deadline for upper-layer NBFCs. Tata Trusts holds about two-thirds of Tata Sons’ equity, underscoring its controlling influence over the holding company. Mistry’s latest statement also comes in the backdrop of Tata Trusts vice chairmen-Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh-breaking ranks to support the listing of Tata Sons. Noel has not been in favour of a listing and, at the last Tata Sons board meeting, had asked company chairman N Chandrasekaran to maintain the unlisted structure and expedite discussions with SP for a potential exit from Tata Sons. None of the other trustees of Tata Trusts have made public statements on the proposed listing, with the majority aligning with Noel’s position. The views expressed by Srinivasan and Singh also ran counter to a July 2025 resolution passed by Tata Trusts to retain Tata Sons as an unlisted entity. While indicating that discussions with Tata Sons leadership remain ongoing, Mistry expressed hope for an “amicable reconciliation at the earliest.” At the same time, he said, “We look towards the RBI for a decisive direction,” adding that the Tata Group, built on trust, integrity and public purpose, would be further strengthened through compliance with the RBI’s listing framework. Framing the listing as rooted in public interest, Mistry said a listed Tata Sons would strengthen board oversight, widen the investor base and secure long-term value for stakeholders. He emphasised that such a step could unlock value for millions of retail investors while also creating a more predictable and robust dividend stream for the trusts.
