Motorola is expected to unveil the Moto G05 and Moto G15 as successors to the Moto G04 and Moto G14, respectively. The company has yet to confirm the handsets but details about the purported phones have started doing rounds of the rumour mill. An earlier report suggested the probable prices of the anticipated smartphones and their expected launch timeline. Now, the possible designs of the Moto G05 and Moto G15 have surfaced online alongside some key features of the handsets including RAM, storage configurations and camera details.

Moto G05, Moto G15 Design, Colour Options, Features (Expected)

YTechB has published renders of the purported Moto G05 and Moto G15. Both models are shown to feature in a vegan leather finish with a slightly raised rectangular camera module placed in the top left corner. The report claims that the back panels with lychee-like leather finish could actually be made out of plastic.

The Moto G05 and Moto G15 are shown to feature identical designs. The displays have centre-aligned hole-punch slots to hold the front camera sensors. The volume and power buttons are placed on the right edge of the handsets. The power buttons will double as side-mounted fingerprint sensors. The left edge will hold the SIM tray slots on both phones.

According to the report, the Moto G15 will be offered in Green and Grey colour options, while the Moto G05 is tipped to come in an additional Orange shade. The Moto G15 will likely be available in 4GB and 8GB RAM variants alongside 256GB onboard storage support. Meanwhile, the Moto G05 is expected to support 4GB of RAM as well as 128GB and 256GB storage. Like the preceding Moto G04, it may be available an 8GB RAM option.

The report adds that both Moto G05 and Moto G15 will likely get dual rear camera units including 50-megapixel primary sensors. They will carry rear LED flash panels too. These purported handsets are tipped to be the first from the company to ship with Android 15-based Hello UI on top.

Moto G05, Moto G15 Launch Timeline, Price (Expected)

The Moto G05 will unveiled in late November or early December, according to the report. Previously the phones were tipped to launch in Europe in November. The Moto G05 could be priced at EUR 140 (roughly Rs. 12,400) and EUR 170 (roughly Rs. 15,500) for the 4GB + 128GB and 4GB + 256GB variants, respectively. The Moto G15, on the other hand, is expected to be listed at EUR 200 (roughly Rs. 18,200) for the 8GB + 256GB option.

Microsoft 365 Copilot, the rebranded name for the enterprise-focused version of the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot is getting new features. Announced on Monday, the tech giant is rolling out various improvements in Microsoft 365 apps as well as a new Copilot Page feature. The latter is a multiplayer AI feature which allows different users to collaborate on a project. Further, Copilot Agents, the purpose-specific mini chatbots are also being rolled out for Microsoft’s enterprise clients. The company also highlighted that more new features will be introduced in the next two months.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Gets New Features

In a blog post, the company detailed the new features of the business-focused Copilot. Among them, Copilot Pages is a unique feature allowing enterprise users to collaborate. Users can create a shared space where both Copilot and humans can add and edit information for a project.

To use this, customers can open Copilot and run a query. The response can be opened as a separate page that other organisation users can access. Once added, they can use it as a Word page and add tables, links, text, and images. Users can also prompt Copilot to add information. Microsoft said this feature is currently available to select businesses in beta and will be generally available later this month.

Additionally, various Microsoft 365 apps are also getting new AI features. Copilot in Excel with Python, for instance, will allow users who do not know coding to run advanced analyses such as forecasting, risk analysis, machine learning tasks, and more. All of this can be done by typing a natural language prompt to the chatbot. It is also available in public preview.

Microsoft PowerPoint is getting a Narrative builder feature which uses Copilot to generate the first draft of a presentation with a single prompt. It can generate an outline with editable topics. Further, the company said that in the future, users will be able to add files to the outline to let the AI generate a more refined draft.

Copilot in Teams can now process conversations across spoken words and written text in the chat and combine them to generate a more accurate transcript. Outlook is also getting a Prioritise feature that will analyse the inbox to show the emails that require an urgent action by the user. In the future, users will be able to teach Copilot specific topics, keywords or people which are important. Any email containing them will be marked as a high priority. The feature will be available later this year.

Later this month, Copilot in Microsoft Word will let users reference emails and meetings alongside documents. Users can run a simple prompt to ask the AI to take context from these sources to generate a draft. OneDrive is also getting an AI feature that can process all the files saved on the cloud server to help users find what they’re looking for.

Finally, Copilot Agents are finally being rolled out to enterprise users. These can be understood as mini chatbots that can be programmed for a specific function. The chatbot can also be customised with specific datasets to ensure the output is accurate and relevant. These are autonomous agents, not requiring the users to repetitively send prompts to have them perform a task.

Oppo Find X8 series will be launched in global markets, including India, on November 21. The lineup will comprise the Oppo Find X8 and Oppo Find X8 Pro handsets. They are currently available for pre-booking in the country. The smartphones will ship with Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out-of-the-box. Now the company has confirmed that both the base Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will be the first phones in India to launch with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipsets. These handsets were unveiled in China on October 24.

Oppo Find X8 Series Specifications (Expected)

The Oppo Find X8 series models will be the first smartphones in India to arrive with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, the company announced on Monday. The 3nm octa-core processor features an Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU. The Chinese versions of the handsets are equipped with the same processor. 

Oppo’s Head of Product Strategy Peter Dohyung Lee claimed that the company was committed to bringing latest technologies to the Indian market and said he was “thrilled” that the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro would be the first set of smartphones to launch in the country with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.

The Indian variant of the Oppo Find X8 series handsets will be equipped with AI-backed functionality, as well as Oppo’s AI LinkBoost feature. The phones will support MediaTek Xtra Range 3.0 technology which is claimed to offer up to 30m of additional Wi-Fi coverage. 

The global versions of the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will sport 6.59-inch and 6.78-inch displays, respectively. The base and Pro variants will be equipped with 5,630mAh and 5,910mAh batteries, respectively.

Both handsets in the Oppo Find X8 series will run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The handsets are confirmed to come in a Space Black shade. The vanilla Oppo Find X8 will come in a Star Grey colourway, while the Find X8 Pro is confirmed to be globally offered in a Pearl White colour option.

In the camera department, the Oppo Find X8 series has Hasselblad-tuned rear camera units alongside support for the HyperTone Image Engine and 32-megapixel selfie shooters. The base model includes a 50-megapixel Sony LTY-700 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto camera.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, carries a Sony LYT-600 sensor, a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto camera with up to 6x optical zoom, as well as a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter.

Apple on Monday launched a refreshed version of its 24-inch iMac, equipped with the company’s latest 3nm M4 chip and a 4.5K Retina display. The Cupertino company has also updated its Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad accessories with a USB Type-C port. Like all of its recent computers that are powered by an Apple Silicon chipset, the new 24-inch iMac supports the new Apple Intelligence features that has begun rolling out to compatible devices in the US.

Pricing for the new 24-inch iMac starts at Rs. 1,34,900 for the base model with an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It can be pre-ordered in Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Silver, Yellow colourways and will go on sale in India and other markets starting on November 8.

Customers can also purchase the computer with a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, in 16GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB variants, priced at Rs. 1,54,900 and Rs. 1,74,900, respectively. The top-of-the-line model with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage and the same 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU costs Rs. 1,94,900.

iMac 24-inch (2024) Specifications, Features

The newly launched iMac features a 24-inch 4.5K (4,480×2,250 pixels) Retina display with a peak brightness level of 500 nits. Apple says that customers can configure the display with a nano-texture matte glass finish. It is also equipped with an updated front-facing camera with Center Stage and support for 1080p video recording.

Apple has equipped its latest all-in-one computer with its latest M4 chip that is built on TSMC’s 3nm process technology. It is available in 8-core CPU/ 8-core GPU and 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU options, with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. The M4 chip has a 16-core Neural Engine that enables support for Apple Intelligence features that have begun rolling out to eligible devices in the US.

As we wait for the arrival of these handsets, a tipster has leaked the European price of the Pro model. Oppo introduced the Find X8 series in China in October. Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) leaked the European pricing of Oppo Find X8 Pro in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The upcoming Find X series phone will cost EUR 1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,06,900) for the 16GB+512GB RAM and storage variant, according to the tipster.

This pricing is considerably higher than the price of the phone in China. For comparison, the handset is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 70,800) in China for the same RAM and storage model.

Earlier this month, Oppo announced that the launch of Find X8 series will take place in Bali on November 21 at 10:30am IST. The India release will also happen on the same day. The phones are currently up for pre-booking now and are confirmed to be available for purchase via Flipkart in India country.

Oppo Find X8 Pro Specifications

The Oppo Find X8 Pro debuted in China in October last week with a price tag of CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 62,600) for the base 12GB RAM 256GB model. It runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 and sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC at the helm.

For optics, the Oppo Find X8 Pro has a quad rear camera setup comprising four 50-megapixel sensors. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel front camera. It houses a 5,910 mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

Microsoft launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) capability on Tuesday that will identify and correct instances when an AI model generates incorrect information. Dubbed “Correction”, the feature is being integrated within Azure AI Content Safety’s groundedness detection system. Since this feature is available only through Azure, it is likely aimed at the tech giant’s enterprise clients. The company is also working on other methods to reduce instances of AI hallucination. Notably, the feature can also show an explanation for why a segment of the text was highlighted as incorrect information.

Microsoft “Corrections” Feature Launched

In a blog post, the Redmond-based tech giant detailed the new feature which is claimed to battle instances of AI hallucination, a phenomenon where AI responds to a query with incorrect information and fails to recognise its falsity.

The feature is available via Microsoft’s Azure services. The Azure AI Content Safety system has a tool dubbed groundedness detection. It identifies whether a response generated is grounded in reality or not. While the tool itself works in many different ways to detect instances of hallucination, the Correction feature works in a specific way.

For Correction to work, users must be connected to Azure’s grounding documents, which are used in document summarisation and Retrieval-Augmentation-Generation-based (RAG) Q&A scenarios. Once connected, users can enable the feature. After that, whenever an ungrounded or incorrect sentence is generated, the feature will trigger a request for correction.

Put simply, the grounding documents can be understood as a guideline that the AI system must follow while generating a response. It can be the source material for the query or a larger database.

Then, the feature will assess the statement against the grounding document and in case it is found to be misinformation, it will be filtered out. However, if the content is in line with the grounding document, the feature might rewrite the sentence to ensure that it is not misinterpreted.

Additionally, users will also have the option to enable reasoning when first setting up the capability. Enabling this will prompt the AI feature to add an explanation on why it thought that the information was incorrect and needed a correction.

A company spokesperson told The Verge that the Correction feature uses small language models (SLMs) and large language models (LLMs) to align outputs with grounding documents. “It is important to note that groundedness detection does not solve for ‘accuracy,’ but helps to align generative AI outputs with grounding documents,” the publication cited the spokesperson as saying.
