Apparently the actor’s exit comes down to scheduling conflicts. A source revealed, “Shilpa was excited about the material and the chance to collaborate with Jackie again after Jung [2000]. But the dates could not be aligned, given her existing commitments.” The show, backed by Boong producers Shujaat Saudagar and Vikesh Bhutani, is expected to go on floors later this month.

In a game of fluctuating fortunes, David Miller did the hard work, only to falter in a familiar fashion with a brain fade of his own at the end as Gujarat Titans opened their account by beating Delhi Capitals by the barest of margins, and if that felt like a script seen before, it is because Miller has a history in last-over chases, and it is not of a happy kind, with this latest Indian Premier League defeat he can add to that tally.
THE RESCUE ACT

KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka had done the hard work upfront, putting Delhi Capitals in control with a 76-run stand off 49 balls, with Rahul anchoring the chase through a fluent 92 off 52 and Nissanka providing early momentum with a brisk 41 off 24, but just when the game seemed to be slipping away, Rashid Khan produced a spell that turned it on its head, removing Nitish Rana, the in-form Sameer Rizvi and Axar Patel in the middle overs to drag Gujarat Titans back into the contest and shift the momentum decisively.
The slide continued when Tristan Stubbs was run out, leaving Delhi Capitals suddenly staring at a familiar squeeze heading into the final two overs with 36 still needed, a target that looked steep once again despite the nature of the surface and the shorter boundary on one side, and just when the chase seemed to be slipping away, the pressure firmly sat with the hosts.
It was a tough ask, but there was still hope when David Miller returned to the crease after getting his finger treated in the dressing room. He had earlier retired hurt when Delhi needed 81 runs off 42 balls. While he had initially been expected to play around KL Rahul, that plan did not last long, as Rahul nicked behind off a full delivery from Mohammed Siraj two balls later, leaving Miller with the entire chase on his shoulders.
From that point, the chase became Miller’s responsibility, and he responded in the only way he knows, by taking the attack head-on as he laid into Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, clearing the short leg-side boundary repeatedly and dragging Delhi back into the contest with a sequence that shifted momentum sharply in their favour.
Miller’s assault on Siraj in the 19th over, where he struck two sixes and a four after the pacer had begun with a wide, was the defining passage of the chase, while at the other end Nigam’s boundary ensured that the equation came down to a manageable 13 off the final over, a scenario that would favour the chasing side more often than not.

Prasidh, despite having conceded 41 runs in his three overs until that point and with only four fielders allowed outside the circle due to a slow over rate, was handed the responsibility of defending the total, and the over began in Delhi’s favour when Nigam made room and found the fence off the first ball, only to fall the very next delivery while attempting to repeat the stroke, handing Gujarat an opening.
With nine needed off four, Kuldeep Yadav nudged a single to bring Miller back on strike, and when Prasidh missed his length with a slot ball that was dispatched high over long-off for a six, Delhi were left needing just two runs off the final two deliveries, a position from where defeat seemed almost impossible.
It was here that the game turned, not with a wicket or a piece of brilliance, but with a brain fade of the experience South African batter.
Miller, on strike and in complete control until that point, refused to take a single off the penultimate delivery, choosing instead to back himself to finish the game, a call that spoke of confidence but also carried obvious risk in a format where even one dot ball can undo the entire rescue job.
The reaction to that moment was immediate and unforgiving, with many calling it a brain-dead decision to not take the single and secure at least a tie when it was there for the taking, especially given the situation and the form he was in.
Prasidh responded with clarity under pressure, digging in a slower bouncer that Miller could not connect with despite a full-blooded swing, leaving Delhi needing two off the final ball and the game hanging once again.
What followed only sharpened the scrutiny around that earlier call.
On the last delivery, Miller went for the big hit once again and failed to connect, and as the slower ball took its time to reach Jos Buttler behind the stumps, the England wicketkeeper was already set and ready to release the throw, while Kuldeep had barely made it halfway down the pitch in a desperate attempt to complete the run, making the outcome inevitable as Buttler’s underarm hit found the stumps at the striker’s end to catch him well short and seal a dramatic win for Gujarat Titans.

There is also the simple cricketing logic that will be hard to ignore in hindsight, that if Kuldeep had been on strike for the final ball and missed, Miller would have been far more likely to complete the run at the non-striker’s end, making the earlier refusal to take a single even more significant.
Miller finished unbeaten on 41 off 20 balls, an innings that had nearly pulled off one of the more remarkable chases of the season but will instead be remembered for the one moment that did not go his way, while in the dugout KL Rahul, whose 52-ball 92 had set the platform, could only watch in disbelief.
For Gujarat, it is relief and their first win of the season, for Delhi, a defeat that will linger because of how firmly they had the game in their grasp, and for Miller, another night where he was both the man who brought his team to the brink and the one who could not quite get them across it, which is why this moment stands as the IPL 2026 Play of the Day.
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved investments totalling Rs 40,150 crore for two major hydropower projects in Arunachal Pradesh, aimed at strengthening renewable energy capacity and regional infrastructure.The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cleared the Kamala Hydro Electric Project (1,720 MW) and the Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project (1,200 MW), both to be developed through joint ventures between central PSUs and the state government.
Kamala project
“The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved investment of Rs 26,069.50 crore for construction of Kamala Hydro Electric Project (HEP) in Kamle, Kra Daadi & Kurung Kumey districts of Arunachal Pradesh,” an official statement said, adding the estimated completion period for the project is 96 months.The Kamala project, to be developed by NHPC Ltd in partnership with the state government, will have eight units of 210 MW each and one unit of 40 MW. It is expected to generate about 6,870 million units of electricity annually, aiding peak demand management, grid balancing and flood moderation in the Brahmaputra basin.“There will be significant improvement in the infrastructure in Kamle, Kra Daadi & Kurung Kumey Districts of Arunachal Pradesh, including the development of around 196 kms of roads and bridges, for the project which shall be mostly available for local use,” the statement said.The project will also fund development of hospitals, schools and marketplaces, with local communities benefiting from compensation, employment and CSR initiatives.
Kalai-II project
The CCEA “approved investment of Rs 14,105.83 crore for construction of Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project (HEP) on Lohit river in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh. The estimated completion period for the project is 78 months,” the statement said.The Kalai-II project, to be executed by THDC India Limited with the state government, will comprise six units of 190 MW each and one unit of 60 MW, and is expected to generate around 4,853 million units annually.“There will be significant improvement in infrastructure in Namsai and Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, including the development of around 29 kilometres of roads and bridges, for the project, which shall be mostly available for local use. Local populace shall also be benefited from many sorts of compensations, employment and CSR activities,” it added.The Centre will provide support for enabling infrastructure such as roads, bridges and transmission lines, along with financial assistance for the state’s equity participation. Both projects will allocate 12% free power to host states and 1% for Local Area Development Funds.The projects are expected to drive socio-economic development in remote regions through job creation, infrastructure expansion and improved connectivity.These approvals come alongside ongoing hydropower developments in the state, including Subansiri Lower (2,000 MW), Dibang Multipurpose (2,880 MW) and Etalin (3,097 MW), reinforcing Arunachal Pradesh’s role in India’s renewable energy expansion and energy security strategy.

From what we’ve heard, the horror comedy will see Shakti as an ordinary woman who transforms into an indestructible force when her family is attacked by an evil spirit. A source told us, “Rooted in Bengali folklore and mythology, the movie revolves around the eternal battle between good and evil. The story is about a vengeful female ghost, dwelling in trees and water bodies, who punishes men, as she was betrayed and killed in a brutal manner. In Bengal, the goddess invoked to destroy evil spirits is Goddess Kali. She is recognised as the ultimate form of Shakti. Here, the character Shakti is pitted against the spirit.”

Sarpotdar took the project, also starring Vishal Jethwa and Viineet Kumar Siingh, on floors in Mumbai last month. The unit is currently shooting in Madh Island, where a massive set, depicting a small town in West Bengal, has been built. The source added, “Next, they will head to Madhya Pradesh for an extensive schedule. Crucial scenes will be filmed in Datia, Gwalior, Morena, and other towns.”

Speaking about Tamannaah, Mrunal said, “Tamannaah is the purest. She has my heart, she is the best. That woman gives me so much strength. She’s always like, ‘Chill, have fun, enjoy life.’ It’s like a sisterhood in a way. It’s really nice to have a girl as your best friend because, growing up, I always thought that I could never be friends with girls. It was always five boys and one girl, and that girl would be me. But now, I’ve started really enjoying female friendships. It’s beautiful,” she said.
She added, “It is just motivating each other, having fun, enjoying life, and celebrating yourself. We make sure we’re there for each other whenever they need us. I can be just completely unfiltered with her. I can just say anything, like, ‘Yaar, this happened’ and she’ll always have a solution for everything. We met on a flight to Hyderabad and became behens (sisters).”
Tamannaah Bhatia and Mrunal Thakur appeared in the 2023 Netflix anthology film Lust Stories 2. While they were part of the same ensemble project, they starred in different segments of the anthology.

Last year on Friendship Day, it was Tamannaah who gave a shoutout for her close friends in the film industry. She shared pictures with fellow female actors Mrunal Thakur, Kajal Aggarwal and Rasha Tadhani to ring in Friendship Day.

The Supernatural reunion on The Boys
The Boys shares many actors with Supernatural, another iconic show created by Eric Kripke. Jim Beaver played President Singer for a couple of seasons before Jensen came in as Soldier Boy. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played the senior Winchester on Supernatural, had a recurring role in The Boys S4. The final season finally brings on board the other two leads of the show – Jared Padalecki and Mischa Collins. Jensen says there was an attempt to bring some meta Supernatural humour with them (even getting their character names into this show), before the experiment was abandoned. “There was one take where we tried that out, and it was a complete disaster. So we were like, no, let’s not do that. Let’s just keep with what we got hired to do,” he says with a laugh.
On finding Soldier Boy ‘within’
Soldier Boy is a white supremacist who led the show’s fictitious ‘superhero team’ in the 50s before being frozen in ice for decades. Think Captain America, but evil! Jensen has a simple mantra to describe the character: “Hurt people hurt people!” He says Soldier Boy’s past, as never living up to his father’s expectations, has pushed him down a path of ‘not doing the right things’.
Having played the righteous Dean Winchester on Supernatural for close to two decades, Soldier Boy was a clear departure for the actor. Talking about how he found the character, he says, “He is obviously a troubled character. It’s (all about) finding a centre to that character, and trying to come at it from within, as opposed to from the exterior. You then see how he presents himself to the world, how he reacts with other characters.”
Soldier Boy’s fragile masculinity
“His moral compass is probably non-existent at this point. And then it’s his own compass, but again, he doesn’t feel like he’s a bad guy. He just feels like he’s doing what he thinks is right,” says Jensen.
The actor admits that Soldier Boy is a ‘layered character’ and one that has many real-world parallels, at least thematically. “Crazy people don’t go: ‘What’s the crazy thing to do?’ There aren’t many people walking around actively doing bad things,” he says, “Everyone’s trying to survive, and everyone has a set of tools that they’ve gone out over the years that they employ to survive.” For Soldier Boy, these tools are his superpowers, which amplify his toxicity.
Jensen finds that his character and Homelander, the show’s primary antagonist, are similar in that way. “Our characters are incredibly similar, thematically, and I think that’s one of the things that I’ve really enjoyed about the show. I do think there are so many different types of masculinity in the world at the moment that are either antiquated, outdated or just toxic. And it does get handed from generation to generation.”
All about The Boys and Vought Rising
Based on the best-selling graphic novel created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys has been developed by Eric Kripke. The final season premiered on April 8, with the finale slated for May 20. The shoe features an ensemble cast including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, and Colby Minifie.

Air India Ltd. has confirmed the resignation of CEO Campbell Wilson, as reported by Hindustan Times earlier today, underscoring the top-level churn among some of India’s biggest airlines.
Wilson, who took the helm following the airline’s privatisation, had signalled his intent to exit as early as 2024, Air India said in a statement on Tuesday. He will remain in his current role until a successor is appointed by a newly constituted board committee.

HCLTech US initiates plan to cut 120 jobs in Orlando, Florida
The US subsidiary of HCL Technologies Ltd. has initiated plans to cut 120 jobs in Florida, as part of an operational restructuring linked to a client engagement at an Orlando worksite, Moneycontrol reported.
A small number of “additional separations” will extend into early 2027. The layoffs are permanent, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing on 1 April 2026.
The US WARN Act requires employers to give advance notice of mass layoffs or plant closures if the affected employees are more than 100 in number.
