The businessman and husband of actress Shilpa Shetty took to his X handle to share a resilient message, noting that he has respected the system. He also opened up about facing media judgments, speculations and online trolling; however, he will wait for the truth through a fair and final verdict.
Taking to his X account on Tuesday, Raj wrote, “Justice delayed is justice denied. I’ve stayed silent, I’ve respected the system, and endured media trials, speculation & trolling. Enough!! I want the truth through a fair and final verdict. If found guilty by a court of law, I will face every consequence. Until then, I will not be judged by noise, only by justice. Raj Kundra.”
The businessman has often maintained silence amid allegations and controversies, allowing the law and order to bring light to the truth. However, his recent message addressed the public perception and scrutiny he has faced through it all.
For the unversed, in August 2025, Kundra and his wife, Shilpa Shetty, were booked by the Mumbai Economic Offences Wing (EOW) after a complaint was filed by businessman Deepak Kothari. The complaint alleged that the couple defrauded him of Rs 60.4 crore between 2015 and 2023. In return, they allegedly promised him high returns on an investment in their company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, which they failed to deliver.
Similarly, the businessman and celebrity found himself embroiled in a Bitcoin money laundering investigation early in 2026. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been investigating Kundra since then over his connection with a Bitcoin ponzi scam worth roughly Rs 150 crore. The agency claimed that Raj Kundra received proceeds of crime (285 bitcoins) and that he has been dealing with cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Prior to this, Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in July 2021 over his alleged involvement in the creation and supply of pornographic content through mobile applications. Although he was later granted bail in the case, the investigations into the digital apps continued.

Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill is set to return in the playing XI against the Delhi Capitals. The two teams are set to collide at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, with GT chasing their first win of the season.
Shubman Gill`s absence from the Gujarat Titans` most recent IPL 2026 match against the Rajasthan Royals on April 4 due to a muscular spasm was a severe blow. Rashid Khan served as the team`s captain while Gill was away.
Prior to the GT vs. DC match on Wednesday, Sai Sudharsan stated during the pre-match press conference that Shubman is “completely fine.”
“Shubman has no problem; he is completely fine. He will be fine,” Sudharsan said on Tuesday.
Moreover, Shubman Gill was also spotted batting in the practise nets ahead of Wednesday`s clash.
GT are yet to win a game this season in the IPL. The 2022 IPL champions have lost both of their matches this season. GT lost against the Punjab Kings in the season opener before losing against the Rajasthan Royals in their last match.
Speaking about the losses, Sudharsan stated that the team has learned a lot from their first two losses and is focused on using the lessons to secure their first win at IPL 2026 and regain momentum.
“We look back on these two games, and we have learnt a lot for sure, and I think we will look forward to doing that, so that we get our first win and get the momentum back,” he said.
Gujarat Titans are currently languishing at ninth spot in the IPL 2026 points table with no points in two matches and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of -0.424. They are amongst the only two teams this season without a single point to their name.
The other team is the Chennai Super Kings, who have no points to show after three losses in three matches.
GT will face the Delhi Capitals next at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor recently reflected on the harsh scrutiny her mother, Sridevi, faced during her lifetime, recalling how the late superstar was frequently branded a “homewrecker” – a label that, she revealed, left a lasting emotional impact on her.
Janhvi recently appeared on Raj Shamani’s podcast where she spoke about losing her mother, Sridevi.
Talking about her death, Janhvi said, “I try to escape my mind, my inner turmoil. The feelings that I haven’t dealt with, the trauma that I haven’t dealt with. The biggest trauma was losing my mom, especially the way I did, in front of the whole world and dealing with that journey… I cannot get over the pain of losing my mom. There is no one like her. I miss how funny she was. I miss who she made me, my sister and my father. I didn’t lose one parent, I lost my father also that day, the version of him that existed when she was around.”
During the conversation, Janhvi also recalled watching an old interview of Sridevi, and the struggles she faced for her decision to get married to Boney Kapoor.
Janhvi said, “I have seen that journey. People were not very kind when she was around. They called her a homewrecker and all the cruel things. It played on her mind and made her feel a certain way, but history is kind to people who have passed… I understand her now. And I am sorry that I didn’t understand her before. She was dealing with things with a completely different lens, compared to how I used to see it when I was a kid – professional, financial, and others.”
Boney was first married to Mona Shourie Kapoor. The couple had two children, actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. However, their marriage ended when Boney fell in love with iconic actor Sridevi. He later married Sridevi in 1996, and the couple had two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. His relationship with Sridevi attracted considerable media attention, particularly due to the overlap with his first marriage. Despite initial controversies, Boney and Sridevi remained together until she died in 2018.

Billionaire Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani have moved to challenge a US securities fraud case, asking a federal court in New York to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding a 2021 bond issue by Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL).In a filing before the Brooklyn federal court, Adanis, through its lawyers, denied wrongdoing and stated that investors suffered no losses in the bond issue being challenged, as per news agency PTI.
The SEC had sued Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani in November 2024, alleging they were involved in a scheme to pay or promise hundreds of millions of dollars in bribes to Indian government officials to benefit Adani Green Energy, where both hold executive and board roles, according to Reuters.The regulator’s case centres on allegations that Adani Green failed to disclose the alleged bribery scheme in documents tied to a $750 million bond offering in 2021.The Adanis, in a pre-motion letter filed ahead of a planned April 30 dismissal request, argued that the SEC’s case over the 2021 bond sale is flawed on several legal grounds.
A key plank of the defence is that the case falls outside US jurisdiction.According to PTI, Adanis argued that the court lacks personal jurisdiction because neither of them had sufficient contact with the United States or direct involvement in the bond offering.Their lawyers said the $750 million bond issue was conducted outside the US under Rule 144A and Regulation S exemptions, with the securities initially sold to non-US underwriters and only later resold in part to qualified institutional buyers.The defence described the SEC’s claims as “impermissibly extraterritorial”, arguing that both defendants are based in India, the alleged misconduct took place entirely in India, and the bonds were never traded on a US exchange.The filing also says the issuer is Indian and the securities were not listed in the US, strengthening the argument that US securities law should not apply.
The Adanis have also argued that the SEC has failed to show investor harm.The filing states the regulator does not allege any investor losses, adding that the bonds matured and were fully repaid with interest in 2024.The defence further disputes the underlying bribery allegations. The Adanis said there is no credible evidence supporting the claims.
The Adanis’ lawyers also argued that the complaint does not specifically tie Gautam Adani to the bond issuance.The filing says the SEC does not allege that he approved the issuance, attended key meetings, or directed activity aimed at US investors.The defence also said the SEC failed to show a “domestic transaction”, which it argued is necessary under US Supreme Court precedent for US securities laws to apply.In addition, the filing says the SEC has not linked either Gautam or Sagar Adani to specific misleading statements or demonstrated any intent to defraud.Statements cited by the SEC about ESG commitments, anti-corruption standards and corporate reputation were described by the defence as non-actionable “puffery”, or broad corporate optimism that investors could not reasonably rely on, according to PTI.Adanis are now seeking dismissal of the SEC case in full and have said they are ready to appear for a pre-motion conference if needed.

Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa suffered a major blow to his hopes of finishing at the top after going down to Anish Giri in the eighth round of the Candidates Tournament on Tuesday. The loss, his second of the tournament, leaves Praggnanandhaa almost out of contention in what is turning into a one-sided race for the title.

Russia and China have vetoed a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution aimed at protecting commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The draft text, on which a vote was held on Tuesday, was proposed by Bahrain. Eleven of the 15 members of the UNSC voted in favour, and two abstained. However, Russia and China said that the measure was biased against Iran.

Under the resolution, affected states would have been asked to “coordinate efforts, defensive in nature, commensurate to the circumstances, to contribute to ensuring the safety and security of navigation across the Strait of Hormuz”.

The US ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, condemned the Russian and Chinese vetoes, saying they marked “a new low”, as Iran’s shutting of the strait was preventing medical aid and supplies from reaching humanitarian crises in the Congo, Sudan and Gaza.
“No one should tolerate that. They are holding the global economy at gunpoint. But today, Russia and China did tolerate it.”
France deplored the vetoes. “The aim was to encourage strictly, purely defensive measures to provide the security and safety for the strait without spiralling towards escalation,” its UN ambassador, Jerome Bonnafont, said.
Russia and China said the resolution was biased against Iran.
China’s UN envoy Fu Cong said adopting such a draft when the US was threatening the survival of a civilisation would have sent the wrong message.
Russia’s UN ambassador, Vasily Nebenzya, said Russia and China were proposing an alternative resolution on the situation in the Middle East, including maritime security.
Iran’s UN ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani, praised the Chinese and Russian moves, saying “Their action today prevented the Security Council from being misused to legitimise aggression.”
The wording of the resolution had been the subject of behind-the-scenes negotiations for days.
An earlier version of the document had explicitly referred to Chapter 7 of the UN Charter, which grants the UNSC the authority to take measures ranging from sanctions to the use of military force.
But after China’s opposition, Bahrain had significantly weakened its draft, dropping any authorisation of the use of force.
An explicit reference to binding enforcement, included in an earlier draft, was also left out.
