Finding Indian wear that actually looks good in photos, feels comfortable in the Indian heat and doesn’t fade even after repeated wear is actually harder than it should be. Over the past few weeks, I wore three different W Women’s dresses to lunches, errands, celebratory dinners, and everyday outings to get a sense of how they perform beyond first impressions.
The three outfits included a dreamy yellow floral maxi dress, a green floral modal kurta set and a mustard embroidered Anarkali set. Each one had a completely different vibe, fit and purpose and surprisingly, one of them almost instantly became my most worn ethnic outfit.
Here is my honest detailed review covering the fabric quality, fit, comfort, style versatility and whether they are really worth the expense.
My Honest Verdict on the 3W Set for Women
1. Floral Print A-Line Maxi Dress
price: ₹4799
The soft color paired with the floral print gives it a very dreamy romantic aesthetic that instantly gives a feeling of summer and vibrancy. The dress comes with a round neckline, sleeveless cut, flared hem and maxi silhouette that photographs beautifully while walking. Honestly, the fit was perfect on me. It sat beautifully on the upper body while giving ample movement through flares.
However, the first thing I noticed after wearing it outside was the texture of the fabric. It feels quite slippery and a bit difficult to manage compared to softer structured fabrics like cotton or modal. During brisk walking or sitting for long periods of time, I found myself adjusting the dress occasionally.
That said, once styled properly it looks very pretty. The floral print doesn’t seem loud or heavy and the yellow color works beautifully for daytime wear.
One of my favorite parts about this outfit was the dupatta or stole. It adds versatility as it can be styled in many ways. I wore it traditionally once, draped over one shoulder a second time, and also styled it scarf-style for a more modern look.
If your priority is aesthetics and beautiful attire for a summer occasion, this dress presents beautifully. But if you prefer low-maintenance clothes, this is something to keep in mind before purchasing.
Best for summer lunches, holidays, brunches, day celebration attire and garden events.

2. Teal Floral Printed Model A-Line Kurta with Straight Pant Set
price: ₹5999
This was easily my favorite dress out of all the ones and the one I ended up reaching for the most.
The set consists of sleeveless V-neck floral A-line kurta, straight pant and matching printed potli bag. As soon as I opened the package, the bundle immediately made the dress feel more premium and thoughtfully designed.
But the real star here is the fabric. The modal fabric feels incredibly soft, breathable, lightweight and comfortable even during the peak heat of the afternoon. I wore this dress many times for long periods of time and never felt uncomfortable.
However, the fit is what really sold me. It flatters the body beautifully without clinging awkwardly. The A-line shape gives structure and yet feels comfortable enough for everyday wear. The curved hem detail also adds movement and makes the silhouette look elevated rather than basic.
The teal floral print feels subtle and classy making this set versatile enough for both casual day outs and slightly more dressy occasions depending on the accessories.
Another thing I really appreciated was how easy it is to style. Flats, shoes, silver jewellery, minimalist heels, tote bags – everything works with this set.
This is the kind of outfit that quietly becomes a wardrobe favorite because it balances comfort, beauty and practicality very well.
Best for office lunches, everyday elegant dressing, summer dinners, travel, family outings and festive day events.
3. Floral Printed Panel Thread Work Kurta with Trouser and Dupatta
price: ₹6999
This outfit looks the most occasion-centric and festive of the three.
The set includes a long-sleeved paneled Anarkali-style kurta with thread work embroidery, matching trousers and a coordinating dupatta. The mustard yellow color is subtle and sophisticated rather than bright which gives a very elegant feel to the outfit.
What immediately stood out was how cohesive the entire set sounded. Since everything stays in the same color family, it becomes very easy to style. You don’t need heavy jewelery or dramatic makeup as the outfit already feels complete in itself.
The embroidery is elegant without looking excessive which makes it ideal for those who prefer simple festive attire compared to heavily embellished outfits.
The polyester fabric feels a little heavier than the modal set, so I would personally avoid wearing it during extremely hot afternoons. But for evening events or indoor occasions, it works beautifully.
The flared silhouette also makes for great photos and creates beautiful movement while walking.
Best for festive dinners, pujas, family functions, intimate weddings and elegant evening functions.
last words
All three outfits serve completely different purposes which honestly makes this collection feel very balanced overall. The yellow floral maxi dress is one of the prettiest and most romantic to look at, although it is a bit high maintenance due to the slippery fabric.
The green floral model kurta set is easily the strongest overall buy due to its comfort, flattering fit, breathable fabric, and versatility. It really feels like a dress you can wear over and over again without getting tired of it.
Mustard embroidered Anarkali works best for festive and occasion wear due to its beautiful embroidery and sophisticated monochrome style.
If you’re looking for apparel that can effortlessly balance comfort and style, the green modal set is absolutely worth considering.
