US-Iran war LIVE: Iran, Trump warn each other as peace is at risk; US President said, ‘The missiles are loaded’

US Iran War Live: Trump said the United States would “totally destroy” Iran if it attempted or succeeded in assassinating the sitting president.

US-Iran war live: US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he has ordered the military to be ready to attack Iran if the Iranian government attempts to assassinate him or takes any action. The warning came after the funeral of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where there were open calls for his assassination.

Calls for “revenge” have sparked fresh tensions across Middle East Asia as tensions continue over an interim agreement to end the war amid repeated shootings in the region.

Trump on Iran talks

Trump said the US was willing to continue talks with Iran, but announced that the ceasefire between the two countries had ended. His administration also moved quickly to increase pressure on Tehran.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue ‘dialogue’.” We have agreed to do so, but the United States has told them in no uncertain terms that the ceasefire is over!” Trump wrote on social media on Friday.

Iran rejected Trump’s claims

Iran on Friday rejected claims it had asked to resume talks with the United States after Trump said Washington and Tehran had agreed to continue talks despite a recent rise in tensions.

According to Iranian state television, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said Tehran has not requested talks with the US. He said Iran has agreed to meet with Qatar’s mediator.

US-Iran tension

The United States launched new airstrikes on Iran early Thursday, after which Tehran retaliated with missile strikes targeting US-allied countries across the Middle East, escalating tensions and putting a new strain on a fragile ceasefire.

The latest exchange followed similar attacks a day earlier that had already threatened a ceasefire. Thursday’s surge was widespread, with air raid sirens sounded at least three times at the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. Iran also fired missiles towards Kuwait and Qatar.

Sirens were also heard Thursday afternoon across Jordan, where the United States maintains troops and military aircraft.

Technical talks between the US and Iran are continuing despite two days of clashes that threatened to derail an already fragile ceasefire, a US official said.

The comments are likely to calm fears of a return to full-scale conflict after the US launched fresh strikes on Iranian targets in response to attacks by Tehran on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran responded by targeting US military bases in the region over the past two nights.

Amid the renewed violence, Trump said on Wednesday that the ceasefire was “over”, but said he would not stop talks from moving forward.

Talks between the US and Iran were suspended this week as the Islamic republic held a several-day funeral for former supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an airstrike on the opening day of a US-Israeli military operation.

US Iran war live: China temporarily bans helium exports amid Middle East tensions

US Iran war LIVE: China announced an immediate temporary ban on helium exports on Friday as a renewed military conflict in West Asia threatens to cause fresh shortages of the gas, which is vital for semiconductor manufacturing.

Earlier this year, US-Israeli attacks on Iran disrupted global helium supplies, affecting companies around the world, including China, where the growing artificial intelligence industry relies on domestically produced chips to train and run AI models. Helium plays an important role in heat management during semiconductor production.

“The helium export ban is a clear effort to protect domestic supplies following the resumption of the Iran conflict,” Corey Combs, head of supply chain and critical minerals research at policy research firm Trivium China, told news agency Reuters.
