Under the scheme, Dalit mothers and sisters will get Rs 4,500, while all other categories of women will get Rs 3,000.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced that the countdown for Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana has started.

Taking a historic step towards economic empowerment of women, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced that the countdown of Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana has started, the first installment of three months Satkar amount will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of eligible women on July 1.

Under the scheme, Dalit mothers and sisters will get Rs 4,500, while all other categories of women will get Rs 3,000.

During the Lok Milni program after inaugurating various development works at village Chanarthal Kalan in Fatehgarh Sahib constituency, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this initiative reflects the commitment of the AAP government to ensure dignity, financial security and social empowerment for women, adding that the assistance will continue uninterrupted as long as there is AAP government in Punjab.

Addressing the Lok Milani at Fatehgarh Sahib, CM Mann said, “After nine days, on July 1, female beneficiaries above 18 years of age will receive notifications on their mobile phones informing them about the credit of financial assistance in their accounts. General category women will get Rs 1,000 per month, while Scheduled Caste women will get Rs 1,500 per month.”

He said, “The money will be transferred directly to their bank accounts without any middleman. Women who are already receiving social security pension will also be eligible under the scheme. This initiative is expected to benefit about 97% of the women of Punjab and the Punjab government has made a budgetary provision of Rs 9,300 crore for it.”

The Chief Minister said, “This financial assistance may not make women rich, but it will definitely give them dignity, self-respect and confidence. Women deserve the highest respect as they are the source of life itself. The blessings of mothers and sisters help to overcome every challenge in the world.”

She said, “Strengthening women’s financial autonomy is essential to improve household welfare, promote gender equality and increase women’s participation in social and economic decision making. When women become economically empowered, families prosper and societies progress.”

Speaking on another issue, CM Mann said, “The Punjab government will not allow removal of any genuine votes during the ongoing SIR process by the Election Commission of India. I want to caution people that the BJP may try to misuse the SIR process to remove legitimate votes, as has happened in other poll-bound states. However, we are fully alert and will not let the nefarious designs of the saffron party succeed. Every genuine voter will be protected in Punjab.”

The Chief Minister said, “My predecessors never met common people. They would come out of their luxurious homes only after getting their temperatures checked. On the other hand, I am available to the people round the clock. Public service is not an occasional activity for me; it is my responsibility.”

Taking a dig at previous governments, CM Mann said, “These leaders built huge palaces by amassing huge wealth by abusing their official positions. The walls of those palatial residences were high, and their gates remained closed to the common people. They remained inaccessible to the public, and eventually people showed them the door. When leaders stop listening to the people, people eventually stop listening to those leaders.”

He said, “The people of Punjab have repeatedly rejected those who looted them in turn. These leaders fooled the people for a very long time, but Punjabis are now wise enough not to be influenced by their misleading propaganda. These arrogant politicians always took the people of Punjab for granted and ultimately paid the political price for it. Today, they are upset because the people are not responding to them. Their entire agenda is more about the welfare of their own families rather than the welfare of the people.” Moves around.”

Continuing his attack on the previous rulers, the Chief Minister said, “These leaders studied in convent schools in the mountains and were completely cut off from the ground reality. They were ignorant about their wealth, properties and even buses. During their rule, they exploited the people by illegally demanding stakes in successful enterprises across the state. Such practices set Punjab back. These leaders ruined the state, and they have the blood of Punjab’s youth on their hands.” Were painted.”

Highlighting the progress achieved by the present government, he said, “It is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that the development of Punjab is back on track. The Punjab Government is accelerating the pace of development with every passing day. We have bridged the gap of almost seventy years and are making concerted efforts to create Rangla Punjab.”

He said, “The AAP government is perhaps the first government in the country which is implementing the People’s Manifesto in its true spirit. Every genuine demand raised by the people is being implemented. We do not make promises just for the sake of elections. We fulfill them when we get the responsibility.”

Taking aim at the Akali Dal leadership, CM Mann said, “Sukhbir Singh Badal is not aware of the ground reality of Punjab because he has lived in a secure environment surrounded by comforts and luxuries all his life. He wants to gain political power in Punjab, but he is not even aware of the basic topography of the state.”

“Leave everything else aside, the former Deputy Chief Minister cannot even differentiate between basic crops grown in Punjab. He has very little understanding of the issues related to the common people. A person who does not understand Punjab cannot lead Punjab,” he said.

The Chief Minister further said, “The sins committed by these leaders are unforgivable. The people of Punjab can never forgive them for the long saga of their misdeeds. Those memories are still fresh in the minds of the people.”

He said, “These are opportunistic leaders who change their colors and their stance like chameleons as per their convenience and political interests. They protected gangsters in Punjab and injected drugs into the veins of the youth by protecting drug smugglers. The people of Punjab have not forgotten this reality.”

He said, “The Akali leadership is once again building castles in the air in an attempt to mislead the people of Punjab. However, Punjabis will not be influenced by such propaganda. People will never forgive the Akalis for their sins and will once again teach them a befitting lesson.”

Referring to the Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Amendment Act, 2026, CM Mann said, “I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to implement this historic law. Whenever incidents of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji take place, the psyche of millions of people across the world is deeply hurt.”

He said, “After extensive discussions with legal experts, the Almighty gave me the wisdom and strength to bring this bill. We have drafted this law with utmost care so that no amendment or loophole in the future can weaken it. This law will act as a strong deterrent against anti-social elements and will ensure that no one dares to commit such heinous crimes in the future.”

He said, “For years, people avoided punishment by claiming that they were of unsound mind or were mentally ill. Such arguments were often used to avoid accountability and criminals went free. We have taken this issue into serious consideration while making the law.”

Questioning such claims, CM Mann said, “If someone is really mentally unstable, then why does he target only Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? Why does he not hit the train engine or touch the electric wires? The truth is that many such incidents were deliberate and planned.”

“Therefore we have included a provision in the law that even if a person is medically declared mentally unstable, his guardian, parent, guardian or caretaker can also face criminal charges. There must be accountability and responsibility. There should be no loophole available for anyone who wishes to avoid punishment,” the Chief Minister said.

Taking another dig at the Akali leadership, CM Mann said, “When they were in power, they never showed sincerity in making such a law. The truth is that their intentions were flawed. There were incidents of sacrilege during their tenure, and they failed to provide justice. They allowed such incidents to happen because they wanted political gain from them.”

He said, “He admitted his mistakes before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, but later denied it publicly. Those who can lie before the Takht can never be loyal to anyone. People should be wary of such leaders whose only aim is to gain power and loot the state.”

The Chief Minister further said, “The Akalis misused religion for their vested interests. The Jathedars are appointed from the pockets of the Akalis, and hence, many of them are involved in politics. These people have no agenda for Punjab. Their only aim is to defame me in any way. However, people know their true character and will never be influenced by such theatrics.”

Turning his attention towards the Congress, CM Mann said, “The Congress party is on its deathbed and will soon become irrelevant as it neither has any vision for Punjab nor any roadmap for the future. Its only objective is to gain power and loot the wealth of the state, but that dream will never be fulfilled.”

He said, “Congress is a house divided. It is collapsing because of its own internal strife. The irony is that senior Congress leaders who come to Punjab to unite these different factions do not even know how to pronounce the names of the leaders they are trying to unite. This is the condition of the party today.”

Highlighting the welfare initiatives of the state government, the Chief Minister said, “Every penny of the state treasury is being utilized for the welfare of the people. More than 90% of households in Punjab are getting free electricity. Farmers are getting day time electricity supply, which was unprecedented in the past.”

He said, “At a time when public assets across the country are being handed over by the Central Government to a few select corporate friends at throwaway prices, the Punjab Government has created history by purchasing a private thermal plant and naming it after Shri Guru Amardas Ji. This reflects our commitment towards protecting public assets and serving the people.”

Speaking about the healthcare reforms, the Chief Minister said, “The Punjab government has launched Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana, the first of its kind in the country which provides cashless medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh to every resident family of Punjab.”

He said, “It is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that Punjab has become the first state in India to provide such comprehensive health care coverage. This historic initiative has significantly reduced the financial burden on families while ensuring quality health services for all. The scheme aims to provide universal health care to every family in Punjab and people have already availed free treatment worth more than Rs 650 crore under it.”
