What started as a workplace complaint inside a major corporate office has turned into one of the most disturbing workplace abuse cases in recent memory. The TCS Nashik case, which first surfaced through sporadic complaints of harassment, has now turned into a multi-layered investigation involving allegations of sexual exploitation, coercion, threats and forced conversion.
Over the past few days, as more victims have come forward and FIRs have multiplied, a chilling pattern has emerged. This is evidenced by police statements, media interviews and evidence obtained by multiple media outlets. What was unfolding inside the office was not an isolated misconduct, but an ongoing trend Of control, abuse and alleged coercion. From being forced into isolation to facing extreme personal humiliation, victims describe an environment where resistance invited retaliation.
‘Asked to work alone on the rooftop’
One of the most shocking stories is that of an employee who described systematic bullying after resisting alleged pressure. “They started sending false reports about me to the headquarters. They tried to put pressure on me in many ways,” the victim said. “I realized they were attempting to proselytize in the office, so I confronted them. This angered them, and they deliberately harassed me and others.”
They allege that the harassment went far beyond professional targeting. “Since I did not have children, Tausif and Danish (the two accused) made personal comments, I suggest I send my wife to them,” he said, “During the argument, Tausif threw a fan at me in anger and threatened to kill me. “I reported it to HR.”
Another victim, speaking to NDTV, described being physically and psychologically isolated: “I was forced to work alone on the rooftop. My phone was taken away.” He suggested that this act was not an accidental punishment, but a deliberate strategy to cut him off and establish control.
‘A colleague came to me crying’
Multiple accounts point to a pattern of sexual misconduct, particularly targeting female employees. “Once, a female co-worker came to me crying,” said one complainant. “Tauseef and Danish had done something inappropriate to her. She told me that they behave inappropriately with women and harass her.”
There have been repeated allegations that women were asked to stay after office hours, following which they were abused. “Sometimes they would ask the women to stay for work after office hours and then behave inappropriately,” the statement said.
According to NDTV, victims also reported “sexually colored comments” and inappropriate touching, leading to concerns that harassment was normalized and repeated.
‘Forced to offer namaz and eat beef’
Among the most controversial and serious allegations are those related to religious pressure and coercion. A complainant said, “From 2022 to 23 March 2026 Tausif Attar, Danish, Shahnawaz Shaikh and Raza Memon tried to come close to me and insulted my religion, forced me to wear my religious cap and offer namaz and insulted Hindu gods and religion.”
She further alleged, “They forced me to eat non-vegetarian food in an attempt to convert me. When I protested, they harassed me at various workplaces and conspired against me.”
A family friend of the first complainant, who had filed a case against Danish at the Deolali Camp police station, narrated how the situation gradually unfolded inside the victim’s house. Speaking to CNN-News18 on condition of anonymity, he said, “We are not allowed to talk to the media, otherwise the police will take action against us.” He told that the woman had been working in the company for about four years and she had met the accused at the workplace itself. “When his behavior at home started changing, the family realized that something was wrong. He had started fasting for the last two years,” he said, pointing out a change that raised concerns within the house.
Realizing something was wrong, the family intervened. “They got her leave from work and took her to her aunt’s house in Ahilyanagar. She stayed there for 21 days,” he said. It was during this period, he added, that the family was finally able to get him to talk. “They convinced him to open up and that’s how he recorded his statement.” According to him, the victim revealed that “two people were blackmailing her at the workplace” and “two seniors were harassing her.” She alleged that the coercion included explicit threats, “She was told that if she spoke, they would release her video on social media and send it to her family.”
Echoing similar claims, an Economic Times report quoted Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan as saying that the victims were forced to “recite namaz” and “eat beef” along with facing “sexual and mental harassment”.
These claims are under investigation, but much of the evidence suggests that religion was used as a tool of pressure and intimidation.
Insults, threats and psychological trauma
The accounts also reveal a pattern of deeply personal insults and threats. “He also made obscene comments about women in the office,” the complainant said. This made the atmosphere unbearable. “I was mentally disturbed because of this,” he said.
The victims say that when they protested, the harassment increased further. According to NDTV, the retreating employees faced increased scrutiny, threats, and professional targeting.
Multiple victims, similar stories
As more employees have come forward, it has become harder to miss the similarities in their accounts.
Latest reports say that three more victims have come forward and new FIRs are likely to be filed. Her testimony reportedly echoes previous complaints of harassment, coercion and intimidation.
Another recurring theme is the perceived failure of internal mechanisms.
After receiving the threat, the complainant said, “I informed HR about it.” But many victims claim complaints were either ignored or failed to stop the harassment. Reports suggest that the company’s internal POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) framework may have been ineffective in responding to the scale and seriousness of the allegations.
How the case unfolded: FIR, disguise and arrests
The matter did not come to light immediately. It began in 2022 with individual complaints, some of which were initially ignored. But the turning point came when female employees suspected deep misconduct and began documenting and exposing what they were facing.
According to reports, “disguised women” and insider testimonies helped gather evidence that ultimately led to police action. As more victims gained confidence to speak out, multiple FIRs were filed, each adding new layers to the allegations.
The scope of the investigation has since expanded, with police investigating complaints of sexual harassment, allegations of coercion and intimidation, and claims of religious pressure. Police have now registered nine FIRs in this case with similar allegations.
Several accused, including Tausif Attar, Danish, Shahnawaz Shaikh and Raza Memon, have been named in the complaints and arrests have also been made as part of the ongoing investigation.
Nida Khan, HR manager attached to the Nashik BPO unit of TCS, has also been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation. As a Human Resources Manager, she was responsible for addressing employee grievances and ensuring compliance with POSH regulations. He has been suspected of failing to act on several complaints submitted by women employees for a long time.
The investigation is still going on. But for many who work inside that office, the psychological, professional and deep personal damage has already been done.
