Apple’s mega launch event for 2024 took place in September to reveal the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, and AirPods 4. The Cupertino-based tech giant is now expected to hold a second Fall launch event for M4-chip models of its MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac later this month. While recent rumours suggest the event could occur by the end of October, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has given us a more specific launch timeline. Apple will reportedly unveil M4 MacBook Pro models, a Mac Mini, an iMac, and a new iPad Mini in October. The M4 MacBook Air laptops, new iPad Air tablets, and upgraded AirTags are said to go official in the first half of 2025.
In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman claimed that Apple will hold a launch event around the end of October for a few products, with some launching as early as November 1. Apple is reportedly aiming to launch a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M4 chip (code-named J604), and high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4 chips (J614 and J616).
Gurman said Apple will launch a revamped Mac mini with M4 or M4 Pro chips (J773), a refreshed iMac with an M4 chip (J623) and an upgraded iPad mini (J410) in October.

Further, Gurman states that Apple will unveil 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M4 (J613 and J615) chips, updated 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models (J607 and J637), new Magic Keyboards for the updated iPad Air line (R307 and R308) and an upgraded AirTag item finder accessory (B589) in the first half of the year. The long-awaited iPhone SE with codename V59 is also said to go official in the first half of 2025.
Apple is also working on M4-powered Mac Studio and Mac Pro models, but “may take longer to arrive”, says Gurman. The launch of Mac Studio is said to take place closer to the middle of the year, with the Mac Pro expected to go on sale sometime in the second half of 2025. He states that the iPhone 17 family and new Apple Watches will be introduced in late 2025, along with M5 Macs.

She said, “I did not realize that there was such sexism in our society till I actually stepped out.” Bhumi also opened up about her father’s initial apprehension about her joining the film industry. “My father was completely against the fact that I’m going to enter the films. He wondered how he could send me into such a world. But I think he understands now that I feel protected because of the people I’ve worked with,” she said, acknowledging the filmmakers, co-actors, and producers who created a safe and supportive environment for her. On the work front, Bhumi will be seen next in ‘Meri Patni Ka’ remake, which is scheduled for release in 2025.

The iPhone 17 Air is said to have a thin build and get a 6.6-inch display. It is likely to pack a 24-megapixel front camera.
AppleTrack in a YouTube video revealed the alleged design, specifications, and potential pricing of the iPhone 17 Air. The video includes the concept renders of the phone in multiple colours showcasing its ultra-thin build and states that its chassis is crafted from a combination of titanium and aluminium. These renders depict an iPhone model that takes design cues from the iPhone 6 with a slim build. It is said to come with a 6.6-inch OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. The display could offer improved scratch resistance and include the Dynamic Island feature.
Apple is expected to integrate the under-display Face ID technology in the 2025 iPhone models. It could double the front camera resolution to 24-megapixel in the iPhone 17 Air, from the iPhone 16 Plus’s 12-megapixel. On the rear, the YouTuber notes that it will have a single rear camera with a 48-megapixel sensor. The single rear camera could include the 2x telephoto functions of the current iPhone 16.
The YouTuber suggests a change in the rear camera design as well. Apple could shift the camera module from the left corner to the midline of the back panel. Further, the iPhone 17 Air is said to include Apple’s first ever 5G and Wi-Fi chips. It will run on an A19 chip and ship with Apple Intelligence features, he added.
iPhone 17 Air Price Range (leaked)
The video suggests a premium price range for the iPhone 17 Air. It is said to be priced between $1,299 and $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,09,00 to 1,26,000). This would be a bit steep considering the $899 (roughly Rs. 75,500) price tag of the iPhone 16 Plus for the 128GB storage model.
Like previous iPhone lineups, the iPhone 17 series is expected to be announced in September 2025. The iPhone 17 Air was initially rumoured to be called iPhone 17 Slim. As per past leaks, the iPhone 17 Pro models will run on Apple’s A19 Pro chip alongside 12GB RAM. The standard iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air could include an A18 or A19 chip with support for 8GB RAM. We can expect more details about the next iPhone family to appear online over the coming months.

Microsoft announced yet another delay for its artificial intelligence (AI) feature Recall on Wednesday. Part of the company’s Copilot+ PCs offering with its Windows operating system, the feature tracks and shows user’s on-device history using automatically captured screenshots. The feature was first announced in May, however, due to public concerns over its privacy and safety, the tech giant rolled it back. It was then announced to be released to Windows Insiders in preview mode in August. However, now the company has announced another delay pushing it to October.
Microsoft’s AI-Powered Recall Delayed Till October
The company added an update to its blog post about the feature and confirmed that Recall will be previewed in the Windows Insider Program (WIP) to users with Copilot+ PCs in October. Microsoft said that the delay was caused because it is trying to deliver a “trustworthy and secure” user experience. The tech giant will also publish a blog with more details once the feature has been rolled out to beta testers.
However, the company did not reveal any public release timelines. It only revealed that the company will incorporate the feedback from its Windows Insiders community before making the feature available to everyone.
When the feature was first rolled out, several users noted that the screenshots saved by the feature were stored unencrypted, and could be seen by anyone who had access to the device. Public concern resulted in Microsoft recalling the feature and stating that it would make it more secure.
Afterwards, the company published a blog post detailing the steps taken to improve the security of the feature. First, Recall was made entirely opt-in and the device asked for explicit consent before turning the feature on. It was also integrated with the Windows Hello security feature which uses biometric authentication or PIN code to let users access the device.
Additionally, a new “proof of presence” feature was also mentioned which would protect the user in case the device was remotely hacked into. A secondary encryption system was also built into the feature’s search index database which would prohibit accessing the screenshots without going through the chatbot route. However, so far Recall has not been released in any capacity with these security measures.
Samsung is currently said to be working on a successor to the Galaxy A25. The South Korean brand is yet to confirm the arrival of the Galaxy A26, but alleged CAD (computer-aided design) renders of the phone have been published online, shedding light on the budget smartphone’s design. The renders depict a handset that looks more like its predecessor but with a slightly narrower and thinner design. The Galaxy A26 is likely to feature triple rear cameras. It is rumoured to ship with an Exynos 1280 chip.

The alleged CAD-based renders of Galaxy A26 have been published by Android Headlines in collaboration with tipster OnLeaks (aka Steve H.McFly). They show the phone with a flat display and a waterdrop notch at the top. The bottom bezel of the phone appears to be considerably thicker than the rest of them.
On the rear, the Galaxy A26 seems to have a triple camera unit. Three camera sensors are vertically arranged in the top left corner inside a camera module, instead of the individual circles of Galaxy A25. The volume and power buttons are located on the left-hand side of the phone. The SIM card slot is also placed on the left side.
The Galaxy A26 will reportedly feature a 6.64-inch display. It could measure roughly 164 x 77.5 x 7.7mm (9.7mm including the camera bump), narrower and thinner than the Galaxy A25, which measures 161 x 76.5 x 8.3mm.
The Galaxy A26 is expected to retain the plastic frame and a plastic back panel of the Galaxy A25. It is expected to run on Exynos 1280 SoC just like the predecessor. It could come with 6GB of RAM and run Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI skin on top of it.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A25 5G in December last year with a starting price tag of Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version is priced at Rs. 29,999. The upcoming model is expected to get a similar price tag.

Walt Disney Co. is investing in Japanese anime exclusives and extending a Korean superhero franchise as part of its push for a bigger slice of the Asian streaming market.
Disney+, the expanding Netflix rival, has renewed superhero drama Moving for a second season, the Burbank, California-based company said at its APAC content showcase in Singapore on Thursday. The series, created by South Korean webtoon artist Kangfull, blossomed into a global hit and earned more than 10 industry awards, Disney said. The company is also deepening its partnership with Kangfull with the upcoming horror mystery series Light Shop.
Beyond loading up on more Korean content, Disney+ is turning its Twisted Wonderland mobile game, developed in-house with manga artist Yana Toboso, into an animation series next year. The franchise has already branched out into novels and manga, and its addition to Disney’s streaming platform is the next step in expanding to new formats and mediums.
Disney+ will also have exclusive rights to distribute some anime titles from Kodansha, one of Japan’s biggest publishing houses, including the second season of Go! Go! Loser Ranger!
Anime remains a major draw for audiences, with top-performing titles including Sand Land: The Series by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, Disney said in a statement. The company’s investment in Korean and Japanese titles comes as it adjusts its strategy to boost profitability.

In an interview with The Times of India, Dua admitted that she also heard the track at the time and was “blown away” by it. She called the mashup “amazing”.
When asked who her favourite Bollywood actor is, she quickly noted, “I love Shah Rukh Khan!”
In 2019, during her visit to the OnePlus Music Festival in India, Dua got the chance to meet Shah Rukh. She even posed for a picture with the Bollywood actor, who later shared it on his Instagram account.
Shah Rukh shared the image, writing, “I have decided to live by New Rules, and who better to learn them from but Dua Lipa herself? What a charming and beautiful young lady and her voice. I wish her all my love. Dua, if you can, try the steps I taught you on stage.”
On her love for India
In the interview, Dua also expressed excitement about coming to India for a gig. She said, “I always love an excuse to come to India. It is such a beautiful country, and I have tons of fond memories from visiting. With all my shows, I’m always wanting to create a fun and energetic space to reconnect with so many of my fans that I have not been able to see in so long.”
She stressed that she was always sure that India would be a part of her Radical Optimism Tour, which she kickstarted earlier this month in Singapore.
About Dua coming to India
Dua will be headlining the second edition of the Zomato Feeding India Concert (ZFIC) 2024. It is set to take place on November 30, 2024 at MMRDA, BKC in Mumbai. Zomato Feeding India Concert is a community-driven initiative to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030. The concert brings together artists, changemakers, philanthropists, celebrities, and citizens to unite in building a hunger and malnutrition-free nation.
In 2019, she performed at the OnePlus Music Festival in Navi Mumbai. When it comes to her India diaries, Dua spent the last days of 2023 in Rajasthan.
